Every casting call we get a lot of people wanting to benefit from insight and feedback.
Just in case we can't respond to everyone individually, here's some steps anyone can take for their next audition!
- Hone your skills
- Improve your sound
- LIVE!
To the person who auditioned for Red Rosie that started out the first line with adrenaline rush active breathing, slowed down on 'I thought this was going to be…', took a deeeeeep, loooong, centering yet growling breath before saying '…a real fight…'
You know who you are.
Absolutely not! No need to punish yourself over something that wasn't your decision OR about you, it was about the role and the project!
But if you DO think of better ideas, write them down, work on them, and get them ready before the next one! 👀
That's what makes it ✨FUN✨!
NSIP's Tips: Shoot Your Shot
All you can do is shoot your shot.
Make your audition the best you can, have a great time doing it, find your joy in the doing, don't sweat the rest.
Once it's sent, trust the process. The role will go to the best fit. You already aced your part.

🚨 🕣 DAYLIGHT SAVINGS UPDATE 🕣 🚨
Daylight savings has occurred in several countries today, most notably the US and others, but will not occur in the UK for several more weeks. These countries are technically ONE HOUR CLOSER to the deadline than normal.
Please submit auditions ahead of the deadline!
We've been saying for a while:
If you make your goal in each audition to find the joy, power, love and passion IN the audition itself, you'll achieve it 100% of the time!
And y'know what? Your auditions will FEEL better (i.e. SOUND better) when the CD hears your joy in them!
Absolutely! ^_^ Anyone's allowed to audition for any character they like! It's always up to the CD's discretion whether the voice/talent is applicable :) So go for it!
