Yes if you love coffee, you can be perplexed by the idea, but:
- Would you call them a heretic?
- Would you wish harm upon them?
- Would you demand they drink until they like it?
Let's say the food is coffee, and you work as a barista.
You come out "I despise coffee! I hate this swill!".
Imagine the discomfort of being a barista, and everyone knows you hate coffee.
Now imagine the world hated or didn't respect anyone that didn't drink coffee.
It's kinda like that.
Over time you realize you not only don't like the food, but it makes you gag. You're so deep in this lie, it's destroying you from the inside.
What do you do?
Tell a new lie, disappear (!), or tell the truth.
Even if you hide behind new lies, the problem never goes away. 😖

"Doing AI right" is making specialists. General purpose models, even LORAs, are way too inefficient. The vast majority of data in a model is never used in specialist work. It's either ignored, or mathematically cancels out. LLMs are orders of magnitude larger than needed for the roles they perform.
