lol no idea how the algorithms work but there do seem to be dry spells when I’m sure I play the same amount but don’t find anything fun.

I’ve caught three shiny castforms this week, which is great but I just don’t like castforms. At all.
Shiny Binacle yesterday made up for it tho.
Would love one of those shiny toedscools.
Just got a leaflet saying to vote Labour because the Greens want to introduce a ULEZ and decriminalise drugs. Now I want to vote Green more.
The Boris Johnson Tory era used ignorance as a defence so often it seems to have become an acceptable approach in Westminster.
I just hope we’ve learned to hold our politicians to a higher standard.
82.5km for the week so far and apparently that’s my longest week of running since I bought this watch in May 2024.
Mixed feelings on that, very pleased with this week but how have I done so little running for so long?!
It’s work and kids.
their greatest work of literature is about a dude who is relentlessly pursued by some asshole on the surface
Love/need running time to process things in my head and have a daydream but you can’t beat that point on a long run where your brain goes a bit quieter and all you can focus on is the run.
Pic of my watch after the run showing 50.07km in 6 hours 50mins.
Selfie halfway up a hill.
Lunch with a view. Pic doesn’t really do it justice.
Solid day of annual leave. Haven’t run that far in a long time, took it pretty easy with plenty of walking breaks. Met my wife on her walk with the dog. Ate lunch at top of a hill. Home before school finished. 10/10
Pretty sure the dust mites get me too so never bothered tracking before but have been noticeably worse lately. Missed the window for an antihistamine to work yesterday but thankfully kicked in this morning and I’m completely symptom free today.
Screenshot of tree pollen levels in my local area.
My hayfever has been the worst it’s been in ages today. I’m assuming birch tree pollen isn’t my friend.
Brand new bit of coastal path that has been built but I guess the right of way is in dispute. Meant a very irritating detour and then a walk along a fast road with no pavement.
Other end of the blocked off section. It’s probably 100-200m long and is a clear fenced off path, not being used for anything else. Apparently just blocked off due to spite.
The update to the coastal path along this stretch is a mess. Looks like a lot of it will just become a pavement next to a fast derestricted road. The one bit they have made away from the road has been blocked off by the landowner.
Kissing gate with no fence, been like this for a while.
Used to be a cool stile with a wooden sculpture over it that was part of the coastal path, then the path slipped and it just became a cool sculpture. Now it’s just looking quite sad.
Fairly new kissing gate but recent land slips mean the fence is gone as the path has moved in land.
Path is supposed to be between this fence and the cliff edge. Reckon the fence is less than a year old and they’ve already had to cut a hole in it to allow detour further in land.
Some stiles from this weekends Isle of Wight coastal path walk. All redundant due to land slips.

I'm one of those trans women. I worked ground ops for Artemis I.
I am torn between celebrating the success of my friends and peers and grieving how my dream of working for NASA was shattered by hateful assholes in Tallahassee
lol it’s usually flour or sawdust here. Not seen rice but could work I guess?
First thought was hashing but I think you might live somewhere more urban than me? Is urban hashing a thing?
Fossil fuel energy uses more space than we need for renewables… more of this please.
Did Israel breach the ceasefire before this could even be released?
checking the microblogging site to see if the false king has annihilated 90 million people is not a sustainable way of life
Armageddon is terrible, but our only other option was diversity trainings at work.
Failing spectacularly at finding an equilibrium between staying well-informed and maintaining good mental health.
Non-universal programs will always be weaker. They will always do a worse job of reaching people in need. They will always create harmful stigma. They will always cost more to administrate.
Stop buying the bullshit marketing about means-testing.

Earth and Moon from DSCOVR NASA's Earth Polychromatic Imaging Camera (EPIC) aboard the Deep Space Climate Observatory (DSCOVR) satellite captured this unique view of the Moon as it moved in front of the sunlit side of Earth last month. This view shows the fully illuminated “dark side” of the moon that is never visible from Earth. Ian Regan processed this version of the image to account for the Moon's motion. NASA / NOAA / Ian Regan
I hadn't seen this before. This is pretty remarkable.

“I will NOT sacrifice the Oxford comma. We've made too many compromises already; too many retreats. They assimilate the em dash and we fall back. They capture ‘not just X but y’ and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here! This far, no further!”
My presumption was it’s another way for Drax to greenwash and earn millions in govt subsidies but I hope you’re right.
Ignoring my anti-Drax bias it seems like a good move. So I hope you’re right.
But is that reduction acceptable? Or is it people not meeting their needs because they can’t afford to?
Reducing excess consumption is obv good but people not being able to meet their needs is to be avoided surely?
Only speed read your link so apologies if that’s covered.
I gather Labour have been doing good work on energy but their comms are so bad I don’t know much about it.
Clicked the link and saw Drax involved, never seen anything good associated with that name.
That’s true, I don’t know how much can be done quickly to increase renewable uptake but we should be finding out over the next 6 months. Every penny invested will surely pay dividends even in the short to mid term.
