I agree there are not that many alternatives for pixel art. There is one software worth mentioning though called Pixelorama that I have used which is also nice. I tend to bounce between Aseprite and Pixelorama depending on my mood.

Daily 3 - Quick Drawing of new OC ive been working on, her name is Honeymoon.
I didnt finish shading it, but she will be the main protagonist of most of my shibari series.
