Which suggests either
a) gross incompetence
b) they already knew (even if they weren't offically told) what the outcome of the vetting process was

Aside from No 10 claiming to be unaware of the FCDO overrulling vetting at the time, the idea that they still didn't know till this week (which is what they're claiming) suggests that not once since the Peter Mandleson resignation have they asked to look at his vetting.
I will literally be shivering at 18 degrees so no
Jack black doing a surprisingly good job at getting me pumped at 6am
Suzuka really is such a beautiful track
Let’s go Suzuka!!
Thank you! Well done the hat-trick :P
My fives team just came back from 3-0 down at half time to win 4-3. So proud of us!!!!
side note but £1700pcm for a one bedroom flat in Colliers Wood, a not especially glamorous neighbourhood in quite deep zone 3, is fucking bananas, London renting has just gone fully insane
BBC news headline showing "Team GB face uphill task for four-man bobsleigh medal"
Seems a bit unfair — surely they'll only have trained to go downhill?
Apologising for choice of language isn’t really a real apology
I don’t disagree
Did not expect him to apologise quickly (if it is a real apology…)
To be clear I mean ratcliffe’s comments
Posting for accountability. I will not watch a game until he retracts or apologies for these comments

What Europe could do is threaten to boycott the World Cup. It won't. But that might actually work. Trump wants his big show.
I can’t believe what I’m watching
YEEEEEEEEEEAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAAAA
Also feels particularly perverse to have a perpetual 9% income tax hike on everyone in the nether region between the repayment threshold and the 'interest outstrips repayment' figure. Very rough maths suggests that's anyone on between £28,470 and about £60k, which is mad.
What came first, the rain or the forest?
Okay in fairness he has done very well other than that
Keeper should be doing better there tbh
There is a certain power that comes from having the balls to admit you were wrong about something and that, with the wisdom of time, you wouldn't say thet now. Odd how rarely people online seem to realise that.
I think people are looking for the “one quick trick” of making “arguing for fundamental rights” less hard: oh, it was in the past, he’s apologised. Does not matter! He gets fundamental rights just by being a human being.
Very good. I would add on “8)” - people going “it was a long time ago” are contributing to the same problem of “citizenship is conditional” that they are trying to oppose. He could have sent those tweets today and he would still be a British citizen.
There should be literally no circumstances, ever, where citizenship is can be revoked. If you literally sign up to fight for an opposing army in a war, then we should prosecute you for treason not revoke citizenship
The most stressed out I've ever been about Christmas was when I was 16 and I got my first ever job, working at M&S in Dundrum. As soon as I started I kept hearing these myths about the Christmas Eve Waste Sale, where all the food that wasn't sold on the 24th was marked down 90%.
have you been living in a cave?
