Thinking about the trip to Lamprey Skink on this lovely grey day. I was sure when I photographed this doorway it looked lush and green. Oh well.
Heading home to celebrate Christmas! Some very productive meetings with the Lamprey Skink Parish Council. They told us that the the tides were “more cooperative than usual,” which feels like a good omen. We'll be back once we've sorted through everything we learned on our trip.
Yule decorations are up all over Lamprey Skink! Hares in every shop window. One blinked at me. I assume that’s intentional.
Heading to a Yule party and somehow, despite carefully following the road signs, we’ve found ourselves back at the same place again. Lovely scenery, at least. Shame there are no phone maps for Lamprey Skink.

A delightful surprise on our walk up to Spaniard’s Hill today; snow! The locals suggested we head indoors and avoid inhaling too much of it, but honestly, it was quite magical.
A lovely Yule day on Lamprey Skink! Lovely beach walk, even if it was unusually dark. Found some shells, some driftwood, and one object the Parish Council says we “didn’t see.”
