That looks like a slightly older juvenile! Beautiful. I watched a pair teach their youngsters to fly in my driveway last week - the mom bird dove at a cat that got too close for comfort. Cat sulked off! It was wild.

A variety of printed materials and scrapbooking supplies with a Christmas theme, in order to close out 2024 in OP’s reading journal. On top of the supplies is a printout of OP’s December 2024 wrap up from StoryGraph.
Getting prepped to close out 2024 and start 2025 in my reading journal. I decided to use the 52 Book Club challenge to guide some of my reading. The goal will be to pick books from my existing e-book library.
Not sure what my total goal for 2025 will be… tonight is for reflection and journaling.

I grew up in New Orleans and the Lake Pontchartrain causeway is home to one of the largest Purple Martin roosts in the US. There are so many that the weather radar would pick them up and they would sometimes get hit by cars. In the summer, it really is a Hitchcock movie. Great pic, as always!

Grading final essays. So. Much. AI. It’s truly awful. No voice, predictable and rhythmic construction and organizational pattern, and limited lexicons for topics. Folks: read what the AI makes. Ensure that it reflects your intended message. Put your personal stamp on the tone. Vary the wording.
