Whats hilarious is baking and cooking from scratch together is a proper bonding tool from parent to child. Its why we are all fond of Gran or Grandad's famous recipe.

So yes, you could make it yourself and make it a fantastic memory and tradition to pass on.

As I said my Dad is a parent to me. Personally, I've worked in children's theatre for two decades and for five years running, I have been a Mall Santa. Not the same as a parent, no. Though I understand children and always encourage creativity.

Wasn't trying to yuck your yum mate, I even said I think its wonderful. I commended you for it, my only advice was 'Stories from Dad will always be better than stories from a machine.'

All the best to you, I still think you're doing a great job that hasn't changed.

Thats why whatever you create will ve more heartfelt and personal and more hilarious as YOU know what he'll get the most kick out of.

My Dad isn't a creative yet no one else could make me laugh harder as a child.

You can, as I said improv it with your son. Ask him what happens next, make silly voices for characters. Trust me, its no difference to him now but would you rather he had your stories from the heart or made up from a machine? You know your son. The machine doesn't.

This would've been in the early 90s? You're being a wonderful parent for your son with those moments though try not to use 'Eh Eye', write something yourself. You know what he likes most or improv it with him and let him lead.

You'll get more out of it that way than anything generated. I promise.

I have cherished memories of my Dad telling me stories too. He took inspiration from fairy tales and made them silly. I.E Bill the Burgular would appear and Goldilocks would take the blame for not only breaking and entering but for theft too.

I do the same and even use 'Eh Eye' at times too. 'Generated slop' is my usual go to.
