Careful, sitting on them can cause you to move through time in unconventional ways

I was honoured to work on this one; I think it's a delight for intro-ing anyone into worker placement, whilst trying to get your threads into the right sequence is a fun and thematic optimisation twist for inveterate gamers. Also it comes with a little kit where you can learn some Bargello 🧵
New game! Threaded from Osprey... Gorgeous art, cube tower, mini craft kit? I mean come on!
We are currently doing around 6 board games a year, but at least a couple of those will be from a series or working with existing designers in a way that isn't representative of pitch success chance.
Osprey Games, we don't take pitches but we do: sellsheets-> request rules -> prototype review. So if "requests"="submissions", "pitch"="rules request". Volume is about 10/week (~500pa). Then:
A. 5% get a rules requested (~25 pa)
B. 66% of those we will then playtest (~15)
C. 2 to 4 contract.

Bad versions would be Bin Djarin and Fauxgu. But you almost deprived me of saying it. Still I found a way to crowbar it in. Surely the real achievement here
Pleased to be spreading the word For The Gods! From the design team of @trevormbenjamin.bsky.social @djackthompson.bsky.social & Brett J. Gilbert and published by @mightyboards.bsky.social, I have confidence in this team to deliver.

An absurd take from Dancey. The idea that women are more averse to failure or criticism of creative endevours is nonsense, and if you want proof its not the problem take one look at fiction publishing in "the West".
A copy of the new board game "Battlegroup Clash: Baltics", with scenario book and some glossy maps out on a table.
A lovely start to a Saturday afternoon- huge congratulations on the debut fulfillment to @sapperstudio.bsky.social !

새해 복 많이 받으세요! Happy New Year Stuart!
Woooo! HAVE WANTED THIS FOR YEARS AND YEARS! AFAIK it was the first game of yours I came across. Id be very curious for a design notes and history on it in time. What you've changed because: the model is different; you've learnt in between. And what you've kept cos it was right 1st time!
I had not considered home making... this is excellent, and gives me ideas. I got Finn 3 differnt varieties of lao gan ma, but this would be better (or worse, but thats half the fun surely)

Carlos Ureta's illustrations for Queen of Spies are gorgeous, with each one telling a story. But this is my favorite combo: Alice the spymaster training her protégé, Sophie.

The board game Chicago 68, a collage of faces and characters form a striking pillar of colour against a jet black background. Part record sleeve, part sci-fi film
It's a pretty great feeling when a game you are this excited for turns up looking oh so sharp. Congrats to @yoyoni.bsky.social, @joedewhurst.bsky.social , @thedietzfoundation.bsky.social etc al!
Im going to have to call an emergency pre-Essen call of the grogs.
The cover art of the board game Threaded: A Game of Needles and Points, designed by Ellie Dix and illustrated by Maria Surducan, depicting a bargello pattern in blue, pink, yellow and green thread, above a selection of needlecraft tools.
The cover art of the board game Rattle Snake, designed by Michael Hardacre and illustrated by Roland MacDonald, depicting a woman in a cowboy outfit leaping backwards through the air and firing a revolver in each hand.

Presumably because of the removal of the <$800 duties/taxes exemption? Seems like it will impact almost all parcel firms :/
I'm confident that anyone who's enjoyed Littoral Commander will get a lot of out of Battlegroup Clash: Baltics.
If you want smart, concise, hobby-informed design on this kind of topic, then James is your man. (Plus, you can support a new, independent, wargame publisher!)
Im hoping to, it's in my calendar and I have booked the time off work (though Sunday might be a problem)
You're going to have to do you own dirty work Fred- no GenCon for me this year :(
But HLminiCon??? 🙏

Fabio Lopiano has a few posible inclusions:

Other games that spring to mind for me:
London (Martin Wallace)
Glasgow (Mandela Fernandez-Grandon)
Santorini (Gord)
Barcelona (Dani Garcia)
Ulm (Gunter Burkhardt)?
Only a fairly marginal one. Towards the end of the race your deck will run out, when it does, you pick up your wake in order. So you know what cards you will draw in the final stretch, and can check anytime. It'd also nice that your wake dissipates steadily, but that is pure theme.
A fox meeple can be slid into a little speedboat meeple. 'Sena' boards hops on the flying fish.
The first corner, a collection of jetski meeples, hare around , leaving wake cards behind them
One meeple has gone wide, skirting the table edge. The others bomb down a straight
Thr final bend, those who've gone wide are setup for the finish. Others careen off the table
Tornado Splash is a hoot, A+ table presence, as long as your table is big enough!
Oooooh noooooo, that took me too long. So I'm guessing it wouldnt be a remake of 'High Treason: The Trial of Louis Riel' XD
A Game of Occlude, cards are in columns gathered by suit descending. Some coins indicate the game state in the top right. The Punchcard level is shown.
If "Zachtonics Solitaire x The Roottrees Are Dead" isn't gobbldeygook to you, then you already know I'm telling you Occlude is great.
For everyone else: if you want calm deduction with spooky vibes wrapped in a classic card game shawl- then OCCLUDE from @tributarygames.bsky.social is great.
