I’ve thought the phrase “spock, the rock, doc ock, and hulk hogan” at least once a day for the past 21 years.
What’s ballet?
the hardest part about any discourse is that so much of it gets co-opted by people who are acting in bad faith that engaging with it is an automatic loss EVEN WHEN there is value in the perspective you have.

not sure yet! it does seem like The Most Open-World Game Ever, which makes me curious about it, but it also seems like an undertaking that I don't know I have the time for
the lore of the mount holly, while interesting, did not help me cope with the fact that I will die one day lol
because it isn't just that Outer Wilds provides this puzzle box world where you have full control over how you go about solving things; it is that everything about the game from its design principles to its atmosphere to its narrative work together to create an experience that feels meaningful.
yeah, it is an example of two games that I imagine have a lot of overlap in terms of fans, but I think viewing blue prince through the lens of being "like outer wilds" does it zero favors, and it also fundamentally misunderstands why Outer Wilds matters so much to people
Pretty open to anything tbh. Probably more on the casual friendly side, but that isn’t required.
Anyway, if you have any suggestions for games that are explicitly designed for co-op (doesn’t need to be co-op only like the Hazelight games, but I’m looking for stuff where co-op is clearly the intended experience) that’d be appreciated!
What I have learned is that I can’t trust myself to choose things to watch that actually add value in my life lol. My algorithm was good at keeping me watching, but due to my tendencies, I don’t think that was a good thing.
I am a year late on this, but yes lol
I am sure part of the problem comes from it being a search as, for all of its issues, the algorithm is pretty good at recommending stuff you actually spend time watching, so if you click off of a video that is clearly AI, it most likely will stop pushing it. Either way it is still discouraging.
I turned recommendations off awhile ago, mostly sticking to subscriptions and things friends send me, so I didn’t realize it was as rampant as it is, but holy shit it’s bad
Been searching stuff up on YouTube in an effort to find games that could be good for an upcoming video, and the amount of AI videos that come up is truly overwhelming.
mario kart world is a wonderful game that sometimes seems like it wants you to hate it.
Everyone else: I’m so excited I finally get to play Slay The Spire 2!!!
Me: I’m so excited I finally get to watch Northernlion play Slay The Spire 2!!!
tbh I only feel confident about the top 3 lol
it is largely that Legend of Dragoon was such a staple of my childhood, and sometimes revisiting stuff like that leads to overwriting memories with modern complaints.

please remind me to never replay Legend of Dragoon so that the bad part of my brain doesn't feel tempted to take it off my top 9
