so, love that you love your martial arts training, but I'm not very impressed. you should say less. don't act like a cartoon of a man who has martial arts training. do it for your own reasons or don't bother in my opinion. and don't talk down to people about it. you don't know what our skillsets are

I respect that you can be proud of your training but it's SUCH a trope that men always bring it up, because they always do. and why? WHY? why even mention it? I just feel safer, more confident, and have more fun being playful in public knowing I can kick some idiot's ass if he tries anything on me

and I feel like it's MORE personal as a woman. too many men bang on about their martial arts training which they generally have done for ego or fitness reasons, not because the world is dangerous for them and they want to stay alive and not be raped and murdered. it's different for women

I feel like it's quite an intimate thing. I don't generally talk openly about my martial arts training much because it's personal to me. it was always for me, not for anyone else, and bragging about being a fighter seems to undermine the fight somehow. I'd rather just be comfortable in public
