Residents in East Oxford gathered yesterday to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the installation of the Cowley LTNs.
Installed during lockdown to facilitate active travel as a response to concerns over reduction of public transport use during the pandemic, the schemes started in March 2021.

I actually cycled through all 3 of these schemes this morning. They really are transformational. I also came through the Strand scheme which is an absolute game changer from the horror I used to face on my daily commute 15 years ago!

I've had three election leaflets from Labour so far. Given where I live, they must be desperate.
A shame they're advocating to destroy a lot of the good work the current (also Labour) administration has done in reducing motornormativity in a borough where fewer than 50% of the residents own cars.
