I sat near the entrance to DCA this afternoon just to chill and the NUMBER OF PPL I saw chugging their yellow cups before they could go over to Disneyland was .. wow.

I dunno why SPEED is automatically the standard to which robotics are held. Can it pick up a human child or a pet, carry it and set it down without harming it? Actual USEFUL skills? Didn’t think so.

Oh on a ‘normal’ comfy park day I have my broken in Skechers. And I don’t drink on property any more unless I’m with friends. It’s not worth it.
All I see are very weary guests who have paid a small fortune and are TRYING to have fun but… it’s not.

I was at Disneyland on Tuesday and it was still insanely crowded and the F&W queues were no shorter than weekends. I reckon the ‘you can order everything at any kiosk’ bit is backfiring, cuz guests take longer to process and queues slow down dramatically.

But it wasn’t just my shoes (flats, btw).. it was INSANELy crowded. It took me an hour from joining the parking queue to reaching DCA. Then, it took me another 45 combined minutes to join a food and wine queue to get some food that I’d ALREADY paid for. DLR’s crowd control just isn’t working.

The FAR harder task would be saying something NOT nice about Tim Curry.
Everything he touched, he stole the whole movie.

His over the top Posh voice for Frank though, that will always be precious to me.
“He’s just a ..little brought DINE… “

I adjourned to fave brewery and am now sitting in comfy AC with tasty beer that isn’t nose-bleedingly expensive.

I’ve come to the conclusion that Disneyland goes from zero to miserable before you even reach bag check if your shoes aren’t absolutely peak comfort.

(Note to self: saddle shoes ONLY on all future Dapper Days 😫😫)

I don't want to shoot videos
I don't want to post tutorials
I don't want to show my process
I don't want to pour varnish
I don't want to turn my canvas
I don't want to record my screen
I don't want to cultivate parasocial relationships
I just want to make pictures and shitpost

If you’re an ambitious politician living through this morning in history and you decide it’s important to make up flimsy shit to punch left, you’ve disqualified yourself as: worm

When a CHILD thinks you’re safe enough to hug, you’re doing something right. Kids know.
Look at any child at a T photo op. They’re complete detached. No engagement, they just want to be left alone and not talk to the smelly old man…

Much of the computer game art of the time looked like total amateur hour but that was ABSOLUTELy part of its charm. Garage-built entertainment was at its zenith 83-92.

The art in profile banner (80’s toy girlies) took me WEEKS because I wanted the art style, even tho digital, to look EXACTLY like the old school toy art illustrators. ❤️❤️

It was a goddamn glory age fight me.
There’s a good chance all these illustrators are still alive today and I hope they know they’re awesome.

I don’t think this short directly references Lois & Clark. Closest is Alex Ross Superman from Kingdom Come, around the same time. (Even tho he’s overlaid on Smallville, which came much later..)

This.
Look, actors gotta eat much as the rest of us. But that shouldn’t mean discarding all moral compass, like none of it MATTERS.
Mark Ruffalo sticks to his moral guns and he ain’t suffering for work. Miss Rachel remains GOD of preschool entertainment.

Outsourcing film and television because of health insurance companies is embarrassing. We are letting American jobs and entire sectors of the American economy leave the country because politicians are in the pocket of health insurance companies. It’s a disgrace

I wish graham had lived longer to become an awesome old queen instead of Cleese being a cranky old right wing git.

I’ve read all of Palin’s diaries and he was there when GC died and seemed to have genuinely loved him as a friend.

Doug Anthony Allstars, absolutely anywhere. I saw them at Enmore, UTS campus and outside Braschs on George St when their album dropped.

Lauretta may not have a womb, but a sister has the RIGHT to have babies!!!

Also ‘where’s the foetus gunna gestate, you gunna keep it in a box?!’ is eternally hilarious.
