If I might suggest a short adventure to see if they would be on board that’s also free, I wrote The Ransacked Relic: A Pathfinder Second Edition Adventure for New Players to teach the game to new players. And the pre-gen characters were all made to show off the differences between PF2e and DnD

IMO Pathfinder is one of the best refinements of the DND formula, particularly if you want clear cut rules and a game that rewards tactical play and building characters together. It’s not as good for the dice improv the style of play, though you could absolutely do that too

My SKT party is currently a Hryngar Battle Creed Cleric of Droskar (playtesting for me), a kobold/vesperani inscriber, a dworc bloodrager barb, a dwarf champion of grundinar, and a dwarf gunslinger. It’s the one and only time they’ve ever had a coherent theme together lol
