Warner Brothers was the distribution studio, and WB execs aren't known for wise streaming decisions.

There's a line in "We're the Millers" -

"There was a a 50/50 chance she'd be into it."

I am crying laughing, sir πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚... that's the good kinda discombobulation, when you can feel it behind your eyes.

I used to do this back when I was a reporter. Show up early to a meeting or an event starts late, just read. Need to do that again.

I alternated. I was either still as a statue or a goddamn hummingbird. I wasn't very good at either πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

This is cool AF. I took fencing in college and loved it, but trying to watch it now, I can't keep up.

This? This is some sexy shit.

Got to meet him and the early Aspen crew at one of my first trips to the Pittsburgh Comicon. Amazingly talented and genuine.

New Pulp isn't writing like it's still 1929. It's the spirit that counts. There were several historic adventures in the pulps. The Gladiator movie with Russell Crowe is, in a way, New Pulp.
Space opera is pulp, Star Wars in New Pulp.
Hero-driven crime is pulp. Drive with Ryan Gosling is New Pulp.

Loosely, Pulp is stories in the style of the prolific adventure magazines of the 1910s through (lingeringly) the early 60s.
But it encompasses anything from Barbarians, to Western heroes, Victorian Age adventurers, Occultists, Gangsters, Detectives, Spies, and star-faring Space Heroes.

Oh, yeah! That was a cool trick. I don't recall using it much, but when I finally did, it changed the game (which was the point, but I tended to be stubborn lol).

Dude in my neighborhood, after six(ish?) years, finally took down all the Trump paraphernalia from his yard and tries to talk to people he's spit on for that same length of time.

Naw, dude, sorry, you can eff off. I'm not going to forget how you cheered that I lost my job and income.

Same. Stole it from someone else a few weeks ago, finally gor to deploy it last night.

Yeah, Enter The Matrix!

That was a pretty cool effort. A clean way to introduce new elements without making it feel like a requirement.

Apropos of nothing trending . . .
I'm sharing this photograph of Humphrey Bogart because some things are worth just looking at.

Hell yeah, man, that's exactly it. Episodic entries in a larger story, but the focus is on entertainment.

Most of those shows are on my expanded list. Shows that knew exactly what they were from jump.

Reliable. Relatable. Given the stress, I usually overcompensate on sugar in place of a granola bar.

Embarrassingly, I also grabbed a short-lived Richard Greico show (Marker).

It originally aired as a CBS Crime Time After Dark series late-night on weekends wirh some other imports, and then USA grabbed it in reruns (which is where I first saw it).
