Denmark's Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine are one of the few sets of royal twins in Europe today. I rewrote about them all for Mental Floss: www.mentalfloss.com/posts/europe...
Wow. That's a whole lot of audacity.
😆to your comment.
Interesting!
Mine either! That's why I'm a writer.
Only five British queen consorts have been named Catherine so far. Three of them were married to Henry VIII. (Kate will be the sixth.)
Which First Lady?
Now I want to see the rest of the deck!
Absolutely.

Just how bored where the knights looking for the Holy Grail? @scottmanning.com has an estimate.
The Avignon Papacy is a deep cut in medieval history, for sure. And not in a good way.
I like it!

Thank you for the clarification. I wish these early reports were more accurate.
Whoa. King Charles III took away Andrew's prince title. I kept reading that only Parliament could do that. www.yahoo.com/news/article...
If the article can note who painted the ceiling of the room where the items were displayed, it can certainly provide a bit more royal context.
It's only when you get to the rest of the sentence, "... adding that the item was believed to be Empress Eugénie’s crown and that it had been broken" that the reader might be able figure out the jewels belonged to Napoleon III and his wife. apnews.com/article/fran...
" ... they reportedly took nine pieces from the jewelry collection of Napoleon and the Empress. One stolen jewel was later found outside the museum, the paper reported ..." Which Napoleon? Which Empress?
I'm going to be that history writer and point out that the AP's story on the heist at the Louvre suprisingly failed to note which Napoleon's crown jewels were stolen.
Should Japan, the world's oldest monarchy, abandon male-only royal succession? Prince Hisahito could be the last male heir. www.yahoo.com/news/article...
Great movie! Totally dated, but still enjoy it. "Jungle Red!"
Emily Watson would be great as Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. Not sure who could play Wallis ...
I'd love to see a miniseries or movie about the feud between the Queen Mother and Wallis Simpson.
Did Queen Victoria have a secret love child? And is an American woman a descendant of that child?
The Tudors would like a word ...
