“Kim when are you going to finish the edges?”

“Historical War Games” is a pretty broad category. Some important ones: “Wooden Ships & Iron Men” (Avalon Hill) for age of sail naval conflict. “Advanced Squad Leader” (AH) for WWII infantry tactics. Also see the Commands and Colors series - more abstract, but very cool mechanics.

First time seeing this - looks terrific! I like the use of 3D for this genre, it really looks alive. Good luck!

Carl Sagan - Pale Blue Dot
Carl Sagan - Pale Blue Dot YouTube video by carlsagandotcom

In 1990, Voyager I looked back at the Earth, three billion miles away. The iconic photo inspired Carl Sagan to write the “Pale Blue Dot,” one of the most moving essays I’ve ever heard. If you’re not familiar, find a quiet place, and contemplate our mote of dust in a sunbeam. youtu.be/wupToqz1e2g?...

That's home. That's us.

That's home. That's us.

This image of home just came down from the Artemis II crew.

Taken after their translunar injection burn, there are aurorae at top right and lower left, and zodiacal light at lower right.

Yep, definitely a portal to a creepy alternate dimension. I would not leave this demo running unattended.

A viral dog rescue from 2016 is now immortalized with a statue in Kazakhstan. When a dog fell into the Sayran reservoir, bystanders formed a human chain to pull him to safety. The statue is a reminder of the value of unity, solidarity and collective action. 14/10 for all

I love Godot. Join the light side! It’s a very elegant engine once you get used to it and it feels FAST compared to the beast that is Unreal.

I… can’t decide if it’s dumb or clever. I must hold it in my hands! Is that a good place for buttons? Is it dumb? What does it FEEL like? I wish it was real! And made of burled wood!

We’ve already figured out how to render photorealistic graphics in real-time, so it feels like they’re scrambling to find something for those extra processors to DO.

Black and white publicity photo of actor Don Adams playing Agent Smart for the T.V. Show "Get Smart." He is clean-cut, wearing a stylish suit. He has an expression of deliberate earnestness. Nonetheless, he is holding up a black dress shoe to his face and looks ridiculous. The sole of the shoe is flipped open to reveal 60s-era "high tech" gadgetry, in addition to a ludicrous rotary dial.

The Get Smart shoe-phone gag just nails it. As a kid watching reruns, I was like: "It's funny because it's a shoe!"

But now, as a media-literate adult with creative degrees and decades of experience in the entertainment industry I can now state with confidence that it's funny because it's a shoe.

A crow whistles to itself on a bright winter day. It's scratching at the snow with its foot. It sees something blue and plastic sticking out of the snow and says "Hello what's this". It reaches to pick it up with its beak and yanks it out with a "shing!"

The thing is revealed to be a blue bic pen. The crow holds it triumphantly above its head. There is a magic light emanating from the pen which is creating a blue crosshatching effect on the sky.
