Glad you liked it! I might use your music again for my first non-jam project. Working on a crochet drawing game rn.

Little pop happens when you move the designs.
And every layer of the environment will put different lighting and color effects on the art... soon. as soon as I get the art done.
Should've tried the teddy sooner. The squiggles made the idea look bad on this screen.

Teddy bear drawn in crochet brushes in an in-progress game. background is plain colors blue, light-brown, green.
Today's doodle. I felt like something other than random curves were due.
That background is all I have for backgrounds so far. They technically work as fore-mid-back ground except without any art.
Will tackle that dragon tomorrow.

My ADHD ass skips every tutorial longer than 2 seconds. And the main complaint about games I've made is the lack of a tutorial and clear instructions... I'm working on it.
Looks amazing.
So cute
I've never made a full landscape environment before. I know the vibes I want but I haven't the faintest clue how to get there. Lots of trial and error coming up, I guess. The stitch assets took me dozens of tries and they look great now, so I know it's doable... Hopefully.
Small upgrades made for the biome. Saved designs can be assigned to foreground, midground or background parts of the environment. Got some technical issues worked out.
Haven't started art yet. Art is scary.

Absolutely adorable.
Hi. I used music from this for two of my jam games.
1. matchstick345.itch.io/rock-papers-...
2. matchstick345.itch.io/the-hidden-r...
Absolutely love the tracks on there. Thank you!
Oh that's a capsule character model? I thought I was looking at a gravestone at first. Grass looks great
Thank you!!
Super basic first look. Saved designs can be stored and moved around on... this screen, which will eventually somehow turn into a beautiful live biome.
I got this far. I can do that probably.

Screenshot of prototype of a crochet drawing game with brush options and examples open.
You can make custom brushes FROM custom brushes and end up with some really strange results.
Yes, I'm procrastinating on art for the game by playing with the game more. Seems easier than wrapping my head around the problem of creating environments...

Cycles exist.
Oh massive chaos is my favorite part of games. Looking forward to it.
Opposite here. I can shade easily but highlighting stumps me.
Ah. So it needs some sort of water usage limit or reordering of events. It looks really fun, so I hope there's some version of this in the final game as an easter egg or something.
What is happening? Looks like one of the (many) times I forgot to switch off a loop.
Ohh I have so many questions. It's a really fun concept. Would love to see how it turns out! Good luck.
Nice. What do you wanna make?
I keep adding more features. Developing and playtesting gives obvious "I wish I could do X" ideas, so I just add that stuff if it isn't wildly out of scope.
Same thought
Diffused lighting. That's what's missing. Eg, I can see lamps casting the circles of light on the wall, I can't see a sphere of light in the air around them. Love the colors and style.
Loving the idea. The vibe could land harder. Add glow or halo or any lighting effect of your choice to the stained glass. They look too flat. Nothing is reading as metallic/futuristic or gothic, so some shading and lighting for your desired vibe would make a massive difference.
I thought that was modded hollow knight's grimm at first. Like, doing radial attacks instead of pillars on the ground. Description is reinforcing the hollow knight vibe.
Thanks so much 😊
