Honestly it might be as simple as "they appealed to girls." Everything REALLY huge in pop culture has to appeal to women and girls

They were cute. They were funny. They had four part harmony and nice-sounding chords. They were foreign, but "acceptably" foreign for the time. They looked nice standing all in a row in their little suits. All four shared the spotlight, so everyone had a different favorite. They had the secret sauce
Maybe I'm biased, bc The Beatles were some of the first music I was EVER introduced to. But I do think if you listen to stuff like I Wanna Hold Your Hand or Help!, and compare it to say, Chuck Berry or Buddy Holly... it's a different sound. But I think they also just had a little je ne sais quoi.
Lots, yeah. But I can always listen to it for one more night. One more time.
My parents used to pair bland side dishes with a main course or another side they knew I liked. They would also cook different veggies for me if they wanted to eat something they knew I didn't like (they were eating zucchini, they made me green beans, for example).

Sometimes it's crafted and curated content, but sometimes it really does feel like tweets in video form, which is a strange dichotomy
TikTok is an odd one. In 20 minutes, I can encounter someone's independent film project, compilations from network TV shows, YouTube-style video essays in bite-size form, Vine-esque sketches, but also Ralph from New Jersey's shower thoughts or Linda asking "what do we think of my outfit?"
Who can load an image faster: literally any website on dialup internet in 1999, or Bluesky right now? The answer may surprise you
Is that what that was supposed to be?? 😭 I definitely interpreted that gag to be about "feminine hygiene," hence why the rag is so absorbant.
It's been too long, so I'd have to go back and read some more of his dialogue, but I wonder if it's less "Caspar doesn't know what sex is," and more "Caspar is extremely literal and doesn't get innuendos?"
It feels very in character for him not to get it 😅 Reminds me of his A Support with Hilda lol

Comic. I’m at my desk, leaning over to the doorway, saying “Hey! Foghorn! Foghorn Leghorn! Get in here!” Foghorn Leghorn is walking past the doorway, “Boy, I tell ya, I tell ya, not so loud, boy. What, I say, I say, what d’ya want?” Next panel, I’m gesturing to my computer. “How do I find that really good manga you recommended? It’s an anime now? I keep getting Halloween costumes.” Foghorn leans over my chair, “well, boy, I say, I say, you ain’t typin the entire title.” Last panel, I turn around- “you said ‘witch hat.’ Foghorn gets in my face- “open your ears, boy!! ‘Witch Hat Atelier, I tell ya! I tell ya ‘Atelier,’ I tell ya’”

the quality of each star trek show is directly proportional to how often you see the characters engaging in hobbies
Ooh, do some from Unilord! At least Primm and Aramis, but I'd love to see Gilbert and some others too
Also, I know it's not your thing really, but if you made any Final Fantasy stickers I'd buy the shit out of them
