As I'm going through the rewrite, I find things that I actually completely forgot about only to somehow reference it or tie it back to the story way later. Like I'm some sort of divine scriber, sketching the endless turning of fate into my mediocre first draft.

I’m noticing as I read more mainstream fantasy that authors tend to smack you in the face with proper nouns that mean essentially nothing to you and may never mean anything until book 5.

World building can be chill y’all. Let the world come to the reader at its own pace.

Honestly, I'm not sure how to fully describe the orks from Warhammer. They talk with a British accent in broken English and they worship two gods. Gork, who is brutal yet cunning. And Mork, who is cunning yet brutal. They are amazing and it is a high form of compliment.
