Fenner Nature Center is a beloved resource in our community that shares with us beautiful land, devoted volunteers and talented experts in their field of study.
Today, I joined thousands in the #NoKings protest here in Lansing to participate in a long-standing American civic tradition. What I heard: Stop these endless wars and put that money to good use here at home. I stand in solidarity with everyone who came out today and made their voices heard.
As a high school teacher, literacy — a student’s ability to read and write at grade level— is the cornerstone of academic success. I see it in my history and government classes. More importantly, I see its importance beyond my classroom.
Today I stopped at the Holt Farmers Market to do some of my grocery shopping for the week. I love shopping locally because I get to talk with the owners about their products, learn something new and become familiar with where my food comes from!
