It's Yom Hashoah, which is the Israeli day of remembrance of the Holocaust. So I'll take the opportunity to note that there is another day of remembrance coming up, here in NYC. On April 19 we honor the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, a Bundist tradition since 1947

that is my reaction to this photo as well, especially with two idle cats always poking and prodding at things. then again I did recently relocate a huge bookshelf to my bedroom, but not angled in a way that will crush me in my sleep
