He was told to stop the child abuse images on his site but instead he monetised them. Perhaps consider bringing back the Guillotine for this?

Newsweek is struggling once again to make sense of and normalise Trump.

It's perfectly simple. Your president is an outrageously crooked, lying, corrupt, unusually stupid even by American standards, sex-abusing, mentally ill, authoritarian bully with the intellectual capacity of a 6 year old.

Just don't turn up.

Anyone who turns up is either a Trumper or just doesn't have the balls to register a protest.

Weird phrasing. Surely it's not the Treasury's role to express enthusiasm or otherwise for an initiative like this. It's perhsps appropriate for them to advise on pros and cons perhaps. And ministers (PM, Defence, Chancellor) to decide.

As a non American, I just don't get it. I wonder: What the fuck is a presidential library, and whatever it is, if people/companies are able to donate while the president is in office how is that not corruption. Finally, why would a library need a 747?

I had no idea he had Scottish ancestry.

I just typed "What is Donald Trump's ancestry" into Gemini, and while I was waiting for the response, I was vaguely hoping it would come back and say "He's a son of a bitch". But sadly no.

And that has been the case since Truss was trade secretary.

Of course the really big/effective announcement would be one around rejoining the Single Market, with everything that that entails, including free movement, which was a good thing in its own right.

Am I correct in thinking this deal was done under the duress of massive sanctions that Trump could threaten at will? If so, now that the Supreme Court in the US has told Trump he can't do that, maybe we should just scrap the deal?

So let's not do it.

Do you have a link to the original graph. I'd like to look at the legend for the colours. Or just tell me, whichever is easiest.

Tesla's 'Robotaxi' expansion looks like another stock pump before earnings Tesla launched 'Robotaxi' in Dallas and Houston with virtually zero availability โ€” just days before Q1 earnings. Data shows the same pre-earnings pattern as January.

Nails it.

Have you read "Thief of time", by Terry Pratchett?

But they are so "not in power" because of Trump. They have no free will to do anything without his say so. That's not being "in power".

I've been saying this for a while. At the time, people were saying that Amin's lunacy was down to him having syphilis. Not sure whether that was ever proved.

The UK had a great deal (in both senses of the phrase) when we were in Europe. We'll never get that back, but hopefully we will eventually, be back. And that will be hugely better than where we are now.
