You'll definitely want to pick one of these up from @writehive.bsky.social. I have not one but two stories in this anthology! :)

A reminder: don’t wait to hear back before sending another submission. I’m trying to respond as quickly as I can, but Kaleidotrope is only open to fiction and poetry from now through April 25.
Surprise! Vol. 2 available now! Neon green slug with a yellow bat in its mouth with blood dripping from it.
Vol. 2 available now! We built in a little more buffer than we needed so we're a little ahead of schedule after being a little behind schedule. Link in bio. ko-fi.com/sluggerficti...

Creatures. Grotesqueries. Aliens. Cryptids. Ghosts. These are a few of the anomalies we’ve unearthed.
Allow us to lure you in. Let us captivate & tantalize you with the unknown. But beware, you might not be ready for what you find. Or what finds you.

They don't look this fancy, but we've got these all over Portland, it's amazing in the summer to walk around and trade books!
The world has massive problems, but I hate it when a new downloaded book opens to page 1. Sir, I want to see the cover and the title page and the copyright year and the dedication. Don’t be telling me what I can and cannot skip when I’m the one reading the book.

I'm not sure about you, but I think the collapse of US hegemony, a global price spike and recession, and a new ground war in the Middle East are far worse than drag queens reading books at the library.

We've received more than 2,500 submissions at Nightmare this submissions period (and we don't close until midnight).
I don't know exactly how I'll get through all these subs, but I do know that if every submitter bought just one issue of the magazine, it would pay for a year of content.
I continue to be shocked by magazines and writers that continue to use generative AI. Even if you think it looks good (it doesn’t), or you’ve convinced yourself it’s ethical and non-exploitative (it isn’t), the environmental cost is so ridiculously high it should be a non-starter.
Just write the thing.
What even is good?
Just write the thing.
Super proud to have stories in this exciting anthology! Please give it a preorder :)

built on theft and at massive environmental cost and most importantly, numerous studies keep demonstrating that genAI tools often work a little better than by chance. how is it that we can’t expunge these slop machines out of our institutions and communities
