Stealing movies leads to dark places:
You wouldn't steal a handbag. You wouldn't steal a car. You wouldn't steal a baby. You wouldn't shoot a policeman and then steal his helmet. You wouldn't go to the toilet in his helmet and then send it to the policeman's grieving widow. And then steal it again!

McDonald's and other fast food restaurants used to look fun or cheerful.
Current designs look like depression architecture.
The AMA worked to limit the number of doctors produced back in the '90s and early 2000's. It helped increase doctor income.
They are now pushing to increase the number of doctors due to looming shortages: www.ama-assn.org/education/gm...
I'm scared that Trump will crown himself Pope. Would he go for gold robes?
His staff would have easier access for diaper changes though.
Still needs to be wearing that swan dress during the eclipse for maximum Bjork.
New car has a giant (12") screen and a few cryptic buttons to handle a/c and heat.
Still want more physical buttons though.
I stayed at a friend's grandparents house in the Philippines and the fruit they grew in their yard!
Delicious small bananas, some Filipino citrus, and cacao!
They also kept chickens so we'd have fruit, hot chocolate, and fresh eggs for breakfast sometimes with fresh pandesal from the local bakery.
People wouldn't be singing the praises of escargot if it wasn't for the butter, garlic, and herb sauce.
Baguette is just bread until you spread good butter and salt on it.
The French will eat radishes with butter.
So yes, French cooking.
It works if you use the right kind of fat.
Leaf fat (from the kidneys) is supposed to be neutral in flavor.
Otherwise you get a porky flavor to your food.
I occasionally see posts from someone who undercooked red beans and still ate them.
The knowledge is out there, but someone needs to broadcast it on occasion.
Was looking up the latest book by @tkingfisher.com on Amazon and got a link to her latest but I'm then getting links to weird fantasy romance books (alien cowboys and mail order brides were one category and a woman held by a dragon was another).
Did she start up another pen name?
There are onigiri with umeboshi.
That's easier to stomach than trying to eat umeboshi straight.
Eating it by itself is wrong. It would be like eating just raw diced onions instead of eating the onions in a burger or on top of chili.
I think panel 3 might be better if one of the others was chanting "neener neener" while Waldo is asked about his god.
Unripe bananas taste more tannic to me.
It's a dry, slightly bitter flavor that reduces to almost nothing as a banana ripens. It makes my mouth dry like an oversteeped cup of tea.
And he's only 14 with a milk chocolate mustache.
Digging a channel that'll support oil tankers is a big deal.
Someone asked this question on Reddit and the canal required would need to be deeper and wider than the Panama Canal.
Also, we'd have to dig the entire length. The Panama Canal took advantage of a natural lake as the midpoint.
I think it depends on the cherimoya roulette wheel.
Had a few that were mostly seeds & fibrous material holding the seeds and some which had a good amount of flesh between the rows of seeds.
A local paleteria (seller of Mexican popsicles) gets really good fruit and their cherimoya was near perfect
Yeah, just started playing Skyrim again a few months back on the PS5. I played it on pc when it first came out 15 years ago.
So it was a surprise that they added new features in the interim.
Btw, Skyrim had an update that includes house building. There are multiple places to build a house.
It's not as freeform as fo4 (mostly get resources, pick a blueprint, click build about 10x to build).
But you can choose features and have room for a spouse and 2 kids (optionally).
They think the fine for doing this will be less than the profit from the illegal practices.
Very common thinking at a lot of companies, unfortunately.
She got convicted in the USA for being an unregistered foreign agent. She tried to promote pro-Russia policies.
After returning to Russia, she got elected to the Duma.
Not a spy, but not innocent.
There are differences in corn type, grind size, and if you can charge $20 a plate but yes.
The beans can still make a "schlorp, schlorp" sound depending on consistency and the vigor of your stirring.
People do know, but they ignore it. He was charming and brilliant and that got him a lot of excuses.
He was a product of his times and unfortunately that includes misogynistic tendencies.
LAUSD did this for decades with chocolate cake that also had green beans in it: www.latimes.com/archives/la-...
Didn't find out I ate green bean chocolate cake until long after I graduated and that was for the best.
I wouldn't have eaten it if I had known.
If you're interested in Olympic style archery, check out the club finder: www.usarchery.org/find-a-club
SoCal has a number of parks that host archery ranges and offer low cost intro classes.
You might be able to find something like that where you are.
Bought!
Heard nice things about it in the Ars book thread.
You don't know that it's worth a fortune.
Businesses learned the hard way that people don't know what they want. People will hate something until they don't.
They do know that people buying and funding companies are all in on AI.
So they listen to the money men.
They added AI a while back.
The new CEO doubled down on being the AI browser.
I turned off AI features in a previous Firefox release.
When I updated Firefox recently, AI got turned back on.
That is not the action of a trustworthy company.
