Either you've mentioned this before or I'm confusing it with @trickweekes.bsky.social and Thundarr the Barbarian.

In response to some bullshit going around:

Can we please fucking destigmatize men being nice to / caring about / engaging with kids? These are normal adult mammal instincts; what's fucked up is that we beat them out of people based on gender and/or assume they're inherently predatory.

I found a gentle breeze in my drafts folder. I hate it when I misfile things.

I feel like Bong Joon Ho could direct the hell out of an adaptation of this.

We are spending billions to keep our entire navy in the Strait to fecklessly fail to open a waterway that wasn’t closed until Trump’s pointless war of choice closed it.

He’s just burning your tax money.

I see people are again arguing about how post editing would lead to abuse, as if Mastodon has not had post editing for years.

When someone edits a post, it's noted as "last edited (time)." You click on that, you can recover the full history of previous versions.

And so I will circle around to my constant point: the instinct for a comforting aristocracy is endemic in the human populace, and the job of democracy is to ruthlessly destroy it whenever it appears. Not build a political, legal and moral (prosperity gospel) framework which fucking encourages it.

And in case you're wondering, I'm the one who Snapped. While it wasn't one of my standard winning setups for my "destroy" deck, I was confident I had him beat at the outside locations by turn 5.

So this happened to me in Marvel Snap earlier. I got beat by 6029346 points in each location thanks to a ridiculous synergy of cards and location in the middle and The Living Tribunal to distribute that score to all three locations. I wasn't even mad. I was jealous.

The Pitt shippers need to tap on the brakes. I don't want to yuck your yum, but not every ship need be romantic. Eg. If season 3 doesn't imply that Santos and Mel go out for karaoke every Friday and that's the extent of their relationship, I'll be disappointed.

We've all been there, buddy.

"These current market conditions are permanent."

Not if we have anything to say about it.

Our hearts go out to those hit by layoffs at Iron Galaxy. You, and we all, deserve better.

And do not ever buy the lie that nothing can change.

"I've seen things you hobbits wouldn't believe. Balrogs on fire in the depths of Moria. I've watched Three Rings glitter in the dark at the Black Gate. All these moments will be lost in time, like... Entwives in rain.

Time... for the Havens."

Admittedly, we’re only in Season 1 of The Pitt; but I feel the need to add to The Discourse and say that if you hate Santos, you may need to spend some time unlocking your gender-based expectations for emotional availability of fictional characters and maybe also apologize to a lot of actual women.

It's been a long time since I did karaoke, but for several years I did it almost every week. Sometimes multiple times. I'd really need to practice to hit those high notes in "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" like I used to, but someday I'll do it again and on that day I will be like unto a god.

Thank you The Pitt season finale credits scene. We all needed that.

Weirdly, building a complex like this to cower in when his enemies finally come for him is likely the most sane thing he could do.

I didn't even know the Geese thing was ... a thing until Ted Leo mentioned it the other day. The way that Angine de Poitrine has been dominating my algorithm, I assumed that was the current discourse.

Necromancy Game News Necromancer Game News - Track updates for your favorite necromancy games

Reactivated because I found a website that tells you if a videogame:

1: has necromancy in it
2: if you can be a necromancer in it

This is the greatest thing I've ever seen.

Now I'm trying to think of weird edge-case necromancy in games like: do Dry Bones in Super Mario World count or is that just undeath?

I used to be able to recite the entirety of Great Expectations from memory before I got held up at gunpoint. That scared the Dickens out of me.

Well congratulations on the win (even if not perfect) and I hope things improve. At the very least Orban's loss has given a modicum of hope to those suffering under authoritarianism everywhere and shown that the people always still have power. And thank you for the (recent) history lesson!

I'm legitimately curious how a 16 year authoritarian regime lost a popular election. I assumed voter suppression or outright manipulation were job 1. Or am I missing something?
