Not spammy. It’s honest sharing of a charming little project. Keep it up.

Love this. Thank you! Any plans to integrate this edition as an option in Kettlewright?
Finally getting a new post about the new game out of the brain and into the world. Hopefully the world, and my brain, survives 2026…

Every year I populate a wishlist with rad TTRPG stuff. Every year my family looks at it, is confused, and just buys me something else. Like a hand mixer. Except my mother-in-law. She’ll spring for the weird thing with wizards riding dinosaurs. She’s a champion.
This is great. Thank you!
Says it’s already collected enough for this month and to try again next month. Standing by to feed the feed when it’s needed!
I think this is one of best “what is the OSR?” Posts. I fall on the “principles” side of things as well, and I think that perspective is definitively captured here.
Mr @betterlegends.bsky.social is making a zine about demons or something. It's for OSE Month. Pay attention.

If you’re dying for a DP check out the YouTube version of the podcast. Like it, share it, subscribe it! Also a guy at my work says my YouTube thumbnails are lame. Tell me what you think in the comments!

Turns out, there's only 12 kinds of NPC in existence: murkdice.substack.com/p/the-only-1... #ttrpg #osr
We’ve certainly talked about going back and finishing NoRH. It’s such a great adventure. The Holidays might be a good chance to try some synchronous sessions. Scheduling is always so hard at that time.
I sat down and chatted with my buddy Jason @thedungeonplunger.bsky.social about game mastering, and the games we’ve played over the last year. Topics touched on include the OSR, Mothership RPG, Cairn 2e/play by post, Free League games (YZE), and procedures. Maybe you’ll find it interesting
Perhaps you already know about this, but here’s the link just in case: save.vs.totalpartykill.ca/grab-bag/he-...
Check out this 2 hour interview/chat I did with @thedungeonplunger.bsky.social where we talk about... pretty much everything RPG. It was a lot of fun talking as he's trying to keep up with my ADHD ass that's bouncing all over the place. youtu.be/p_F5lduKeOI?...
I like getting “well loved” old RPG books. I always wonder about what fantastic adventures they have contributed to. The friendships made and solidified. Beautiful stuff you can’t get from “mint” copies.
Also less stress about spinning them up for new adventures with friends today.
Another Bug Hunt is awesome, but I really love Dead Planet. Partly nostalgia and partly the fact that as an intro module it teaches a slightly different way to play: by trapping you in terrifying little sandbox.

Backed! 50% due to fact Grim Merchants sounds awesome, 40% due to the great gaming advice in the discussion, and 10% due to the enthusiasm of your response to Jason’s shoutout. 😂
And you can read the full story of the session I ran for Jason using the excellent module “Moonbase Blues” here:

Another great podcast from @thedungeonplunger.bsky.social . I totally backed this #MothershipMonth project and the interview/discussion has some great tips for running #Mothership and RPGs. I also get a little shoutout which made my day.

Have you checked out HEXROLL? It generates the region with populated towns, taverns, factions, and fully keyed dungeons. I’ve often thought of using for a solo or a random pickup game.
Scheduling is the monster that will never die. I really enjoyed running Moonbase Blues. The longer adventures are excellent too, and can be broken down into one shots. Dead Planet doesn’t get talked about as much anymore but the Screaming on the Alexis portion is a perfect night of gaming.
Oh hell yeah.
It’s been available for years but I don’t think enough people give this edition credit as a very accessible version of the game. If you print on lulu you have great inexpensive copies for your table or to give away to get people excited. Don’t sell them, that would be a —— move.

Also the realization that I have inadequate shelf space…
Obligatory gloating about a thing I paid money for so long ago I live in a different house.

Play report with prep notes and whatnots for the first 3 or 4 sessions of my current Twilight:2000 campaign. Just wrapped session 7 last week. Great sandbox game with excellent referee support.

Added Chapter 3: Skills and Specialities. Might be able to get another chapter up today as well.
Link to the homepage for my home brewed Sword and Planet / Planetary Romance / Planetary Science Fantasy game. It’s going to be powered by the Year Zero Engine, but like Forbidden Lands will be inspired by and OSR adjacent. I’m going to link back here for WIP comments if you want to share.
Is it available somewhere other than through the kickstarter that I missed?
Yes! Lots or really interesting ideas that changed how I look at game mechanics.
