It is something that started to happen in the last 2-3 years when their propaganda really started to work - I grew up there, such ceremonies never happened before. Every year I make sure to put that flag where it belongs on my morning runs though!

With Figma Buzz, I no longer have an excuse not to use images in my social media posts. I can already see my follower count exploding to triple-digits!

I must say, as far as Bulgarian info signage goes, this is pretty high-end!

The plain language mode of interaction somehow shifts your thinking and the code I know is not my go-to means of interface. It is very weird but somehow makes sense.

I've been messing around with these AI coding tools for a bit and on one hand I find prospects like these laughable and borderline offensive: "type all of this out in plain language as opposed to to just tap b,r -> tab -> 30?! what nonsense" – on the other, I've found myself often doing just that.

Alright, I've given a lot of shit to Atlassian over the years, but Confluence just auto detected a bunch of acronyms on a page I was reading, explained them and linked to relevant docs.

Absolute lifesaver for a new hire like myself!

But hear me out @figma.com – why not allow this? If you had a component with a placeholder swap-instance slot you could nest it inside of itself and avoid an infinite loop.

I've heard rumors that the most seasoned designers go straight from anger to whiteboarding

Hmmm I just realised my Config talk proposal relies pretty heavily on the ability of a component to nest itself, which is technically impossible. Woopsies! 😅

From now on, I’m signing all emails like this:

Amazing news everyone! January has _one_ more day left!

This is directly inspired by just how bad the apple podcasts app is – I get two different feeds on mobile and desktop (with the same apple ID) and updating the feed takes an ice age.

Possibly their worst software product.

Frigne idea of the day: could you build a podcast app on the @atproto.com?

No more "follow me wherever you get your podcasts", direct interaction with audience, cool technical challenge, etc, etc.

Thinking of getting my first tattoos: main component icon on the right hand, component instance icon on the left 😅

I’ve seen hacky variations of this approach like local tribe libraries, “unofficial thing x library”, etc. Super cool to see it shaped structured like this!

Ah man I was so early on to this agents thing! 😅

Reporting back – no epiphany about the wonders of life free from the shackles of technology, the toxicity of podcasts or our awful modern habbits – it was just a boring ass dog walk.

I’m going out on a dog walk alone without headphones, like a complete psychopath. First time in several years, wish me luck!

My bio says that I write about design and make weird lamps, There doesn’t seem to be any evidence for either of these so let’s change that!

This future that they’re building sure sounds awful

DNS verification on here is pretty cool. I wonder if @bsky.app should start selling domain names!
