Growing up on the outskirts of Chicago, and then attending school in Cleveland (OH), I got “spoiled” by the transit train systems. San Antonio needs a rail system desperately; it blows my mind a city of this size doesn’t have better rail infrastructure.

Cook adds so many “local” taxes and surcharges to everything. Gas prices (and utilities) get ridiculous there. At this point, I figure gas stations in the city itself should start issuing credit extensions just to fill up the car. 🥴

We used to fill up at these stations regularly when we had our Ovaltine Ct apt and then our house in Elmhurst. Relo’d to TX for work few yrs back. It’s wild to see this post! Sadly, gas prices are not good down here either… not as bad as DuPage or Cook County, but higher than I’d expect.

Why did we ever let them gut this important legislation in the first place? Biden’s bipartisan legislation shouldn’t have been negotiable. I know there are limits bc of who controls Congress, but these were wins for everyone. GOP should have stood firm on these - no excuse for their cowardice.

The man stuttered & walked slower bc of arthritis, & the entire media circus (plus our Dem party) discredited him while he was consistently delivering effective policies, legislative firsts, and long term financial stability for all of us. Their silence now is criminal. I will never forgive them.

Not alone! Even my husband dismissed my *fully sourced* warnings as the ravings of a middle aged hormonal woman. I was “too emotional” about it, acc. to him and my fam. Why is it when a woman is “passionate” about something, she’s reframed as “emotional?” Easier to dismiss as irrational, I assume.

I used a service to ensure Everything was done when I got married 17 yrs ago… and yet… I just moved back to NOLA after 20yrs, & need a state ID, but their system shows one that expired in 2007 w/my maiden name. So I have to dig up all my citizenship docs & marriage license to prove I’m me, again. 🥴

Swalwell should follow Biden’s example and start consolidating support from other D candidates who received less than his share of votes in this. Then, roadtrip and rally with them.

👋🏻Northside Bexar County voter here! I agree, it’s 🤯 how many people don’t vote! That is a crazy % of folks who stayed home Tues, but our usual “no line” site was PACKED from 4:30pm w/long lines to 7pm cutoff. Got in line @ 6:30, cast ours at 7:50pm, & people behind us still waiting to vote! A first!
