“You can rig a character with bendy bones in blender. But for the purpose of this tutorial I am going to be rigging a cube...”

I have an a1 mini. It’s more than enough.

Modeling wouldn’t be an issue depending on what you plan to use it for. Can find lots of things for free/pennies.

For functional prints you would be using a cad software. If you’re familiar with illustrator it’s easy to pick up.

I’m an illustrator.
A what?
I draw things.
Ah, okay… take care.

Can’t infringe IP except for the work it was already trained on. I get it.

I am biased because it’s my job on the line obviously but the more we feed the beast “for fun” or “just to experiment” the more Altman can go asking for more money.

And what is your conclusion?

Why tho?

I wouldn’t mind taking on a few small freelance #pixelart jobs. I could do with a pallet cleanser from working on my own projects! If anyone is looking for a pixel art illustrator / animator, gimme a shout! 👋

Having a chance to do some more work on a client project from 3 years ago. I am happy to report that my line work seems to have improved in the meantime.

Guessing anatomy and perspective and composition will be done in the next 9 years?

Got a couple of chuckles out of me of it helps even the balance. In fact, I am still smiling.

Although browsing the illustration tag is a snoozefest of anatomically impossible women drawings.

Flashes is really good.

I just keep forgetting its name.

I bought a bambu lab a1 mini a few months ago. It’s pretty much set and forget and very cheap for the quality. Highly recommend

Try your local library too. Might have a 3d printer. Look on thingiverse too for free files.

Looking at the model you posted that’s quite well made (appears to be several parts rather than one single print) but I am sure there’s one like that somewhere.

I’d have a look at a 3d printing company like this makeitquick.co.uk (never used them myself) or with a bit of luck might have someone local to you.

If it costs more than £170 you could get a printer instead :)

I was super efficient and finished work one day early. I will spend the rest of the day thinking of what I should be doing with my time.
