to do it right, the only way to do it, would require a much heavier investment of time effort and money than people tend to think. i absolutely sympathize

for dark witch it was a heavy collaborative effort with the main dev to make sure we were not missing anything intentional, catching words that would otherwise be translated "correctly" but miss foreshadowing etc. so imagine delatrune would need serious involvement since its so story heavy

localization is really difficult. beyond the technical skill of translating everything "correctly" (which is a debate itself) there is a ton of behind the scenes work on making sure all the narrative beats hit properly, terms are used consistently, and wordplay/jokes are preserved (if possible)

In the last half of October, I visited Japan with my good friend BossCrab and had a great time!
Here is a picture of the physical copies of all the Touhou fangames I speedrun. Very happy I was able to find them all (even Maristice trial lol)
