I thought they were all going to leave New York anyway

To be fair, this is a photograph of my actual doctor
“It would be absurd to argue that having more psychiatric appointments 2+ years after *referral to a psychiatrist* was an indicator of issues with mental health.”
Hey! Something hopeful for everyone mourning the end of the current era of Star Trek! Let's not forget that there are 3 seasons (30 episodes) of 2 great shows filmed and in post production. It's not over until the last episode is released!
I've followed and appreciate the process they just seem to be taking ages to incorporate the new scientific evidence and produce the guidelines. Any day now I hope...
We're so close to having new dietary guidelines here in Australia and I'm really curious to see what changes there will be. I seriously keep checking the website to see if the draft guidelines have been released for comment yet...
A loaf of freshly made gluten free bread cooling on a wire rack
If you'd told me 5 years ago that I'd be diagnosed coeliac and baking my own gluten free bread regularly, I wouldn't have believed you. But here we are and I found the best recipe! www.mygfguide.com/fluffy-glute...
Oh dear. I've been blocked. Sorry Kenna 😔
I see so many posts that followe this pattern "I couldn't possibly do intuitive eating because my intuition tells me to eat nothing but (insert "bad" food here)"
I'm sure if Kenna ate literally nothing but chocolate chip cookies for a while, intuition would be saying otherwise pretty fast
OK, time to revisit Bluesky (why do I feel I've said this before?). Twitter/X is a bonfire and my algorithm has gone down a rabbit hole that makes me sad. Time to see if I can actually engage here like I could on Twitter...
I find it so hard to fathom how long we thought Avocados were bad because of the fat content! This is seriously one of the most unhinged "swaps" I've ever seen!
I just spent 15 minutes on Twitter/X. Yikes! I know it's a bit of a cliche here, but that place really is a cesspool of aggressive conflict. Ugh. Time for a palate cleanser on the platform where debate is actually civil
This!
Image of busy walking street with shops on the ground floor and other uses (offices, apartments) above. The text line says “Wait, we’re afraid of walkable distances now?” Tag line of the Urban Truth Collective at the bottom.
Conspiracy lovers and opportunistic politicians, with some wealthy folks working behind the scenes, have been trying REALLY hard to make us scared of the simple idea of having more things nearby, and more choices in how to get them.
Weird, right? #UrbanTruth
And I'd like to thank you for engaging in a thoughtful manner to my challenge. Even on this more level headed forum, many people refuse to look any deeper than "eat whatever you want"
We are on the same page here! The co-opting of intuitive eating by diet culture really grinds my gears and it discourages its use as a tool to actually improve health. It is indeed complicated and I appreciate you acknowledging the nuance. Too many people oversimplify what it means and I react
There's a lot more to it than hunger and fullness cues. It's about undoing diet culture and removing the stigma attached to food in general. Check out the full principals. Sure, it steers you to healthy eating in the final principal, but not before it completely redefines what that means
Intuitive eating sold as a way to lose weight is a scam and not what it's actually about. Of course the diet industry has co-opted it like everything else (ugh!). Look at the origins of the term and the original approach and you'll find it's about health. Not weight size or shape. Quite the opposite
This is why I'm so glad I live in Australia, where you can vote for a minor party and still have your vote count through the transfer of preferences.

Check out the video, it will blow your mind...
Words are useless
Especially sentences
They don't stand for anything
How could they explain how I feel
Welcome to the 32nd century!
It's weird. Every time I debate someone online and mention that every person walking, on a bike, or on public transport is one less car on the road, they just stop responding. I'm yet to hear any kind of response to it
People are so stressed out and traumatized from the last decade, going all the way back to 2016 that they’re turning their brains off, especially online. Lashing out in unthinking anger even at friends they should show grace to, isolating themselves, and not challenging themself in art or life.
I only have one critique of Star Trek Starfleet Academy.
In a world where everyone has access to personal transporters, why are there so many vehicles flying over San Francisco?

It's amazing how quickly food companies jump on food trends. Protein is important, but it doesn't need to be in everything
I guess it goes to an unfinished entrance
Hey @spaceartal.bsky.social I think you may have tagged the wrong Paul Wagner 🤷
