So @CBS News did a hatchet job tonight, à la Fox News. Their story on the charity scammers slurred Somalis, implied that the Walz government was involved and stated, “it is unknown if any of the money was given to terrorists.”
Walter Cronkite reportedly hit 5800rpm.
Shocking. Someone formerly at the Heritage Foundation has some ethics.
Tweet from a user sarcastically calling Trump the “President of the United States of America,” with an American flag emoji. Below is a TV screenshot showing Donald Trump next to a graphic titled “Trump’s Attacks on Women Reporters,” listing several dates with insults he used, including “Quiet, piggy,” “Insubordinate,” “Ugly,” “Are you stupid?,” “Stupid and nasty,” and “Obnoxious and terrible.”
We need to teach our young men about misogyny so they don't think it's okay to become like him.
Okay. Wow.
I remember that episode of MASH
Saw these two eras of pickup truck parked next to one another and it almost looks like an optical illusion

200 million dollars of waste.
Well, that’s creepy AF. youtu.be/H7dhwFcuUn0
OK, several trillion greasy bucks, locked away from the average American since 1980 because of a con out great-great grandparents saw through 100 years ago.
The rest was history. And a disaster - titanic ballooning debts, income inequality not seen since the French Revolution, and a citizenry so deluded by lies that a flat earth seems reasonable.
All for a greasy buck.
eventually the rich person will have to relieve themselves trickle in the restroom. This was only marginally better than the ‘eat seeds from horseshit’ label, but some bright boy figured out if you eliminate the scatological part, you get “Trickle Down.”
Almost 100 years of Republican thought came up with a solution: rename the Horse and Sparrow theory. I think, since the eventual new label was “Trickle Down Theory,” at some point they argued that if a rich person drinks enough champagne,
This didn’t go over so well in the 19th century since people knew shit from shinola back then and any economic theory that involved them picking seeds from horseshit was, in a word, horseshit.
It was, of course nonsense, and identical to their “Horse and Sparrow Theory” from the 19th century in which they argued “If you feed the horse more, eventually some of the seeds get through to the sparrow.”
All well and good, no magic there. The flim-flam the Republicans brought, though, was the “Trickle Down” theory of economics.
To recap, the voting preference of the former Yellow Dog Democrats, was:
Vote Republican > vote for a yellow dog > agreeing on black and brown American citizens > cutting off right arm. There is some uncertainty on the last three parts, but vote Republican was definitely the least objectionable.
Since they refused to acknowledge what was black and white law in the Constitution, they would rather vote Republican - the party of Lincoln! - than agree that black and brown American citizens are actually black and brown American citizens.
This pissed off the “Solid South” that up until then were known as Dixiecrats or Yellow Dog Democrats who would rather vote for a Yellow Dog than a Republican, or more forcefully, who would rather cut off their right arm than vote Republican.
Yes, people of all races who are American citizens ARE American citizens. This simple tautology - Amercian citizens ARE American citizens, seems forgotten and disagreeable for a lot of people.
Up until the 1960s, the Democratic Party was on board with the fighting black and brown people, but was a bit more sensible on the economy. Then the Democrats had the idea of maybe considering the black and brown American citizens to be, well, citizens. Citizens of America, no less.
Prior to then, the ‘common wisdom’ was that you voted Democrat if you cared about the economy, and you voted Republican if you wanted to fight Communism, foreigners, black and brown people, and foreign Communist black and brown people.
The thing that, to me, is the hardest to swallow is the trick that the GOP pulled in 1980, convincing people that the GOP was better for the economy than the Democrats. It isn’t true and has never been true, but somehow the GOP hypnotized everyone.
