My latest blog post deals with the main difference between actual writers and generative AI users. You can read "Dear Aithors" at the link in the following comment.
Today, I spilled a full cup of coffee on my computer table, my phone, and the TV remote, ruining a half dozen book. (Laptop was fine, though.) I went on another coffee run, and I when I picked up the cup, the lid popped off and shot hot coffee all over my hand and the interior of my car. FML

Here's a picture of 31-year-old me with my first daughter Devon Waggoner when she was a brand-new baby! It was half my lifetime ago, and also yesterday.
One of the coolest things at the college where I teach is this walkway between the parking garage and the art building. Portraits of famous artists are imprinted on the windows, and their shadows are "projected" onto the floor.
Saw someone in a group ask if it was necessary to use AI to write a novel. I said that's like using a motorcycle to run a marathon.

When my daughter Devon was very young, she thought Snoopy's silhouette in It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown was a black kangaroo, and it freaked her out. So let me wish you all a Happy Black Kangaroo Day!

I'll be sending out the latest edition of my newsletter tonight, so if you haven't subscribed yet, you can do so here: timwaggoner.com/contact/
Happy International Transgender Day of Visibility to all my trans friends, colleagues, and students!
Here's another movie I enjoyed on Tubi! Part folk horror, part cosmic horror.
Keep watching once the credits start to roll. There are a couple more scenes.
Watched this Spanish movie on Tubi last night. It's part serious slasher and part parody, and I really enjoyed it!

I finally finished my memoir around 4 a.m. last night! Once I'm awake enough to think again, I'll do a last proofread before sending it to my editor. Then I'll sleep for a month. (Just kidding. I have a new novel to start after that.)
Tubi, you're too good to me!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Thought I'd give 7 Brew a try. Got a sugar-free Americano with hazelnut flavor and four shots of espresso. Not really a fan. I'll try another flavor next time.
