Plane A and Plane B are always the same size, and two 1024x256 nametables eat up a lot of VRAM, which we need for all the sprites and zone preview icons.

Since the background is a static 320x224 image, it can just be drawn by the window plane, removing the need to allocate a nametable for Plane B.

It's used twice, although the second use is for boring reasons.

The Data Select screen draws its layout to Plane A on boot, and then the HScroll registers are used to scroll everything left and right.

To fit the entire layout, the VDP plane size is set to 1024x256, but this causes another problem:

The entire platform is copied to the VDP's window plane, erased from Plane A, then Plane A scrolls up and offscreen.

Then finally, the platform is copied back to plane A and the window plane is disabled.
