Thank you for everything, school librarians & library workers!
At a loss for words thinking of how you somehow find a way to continue doing your unnecessarily stressful jobs. I have to think your library kids are a big part of why.
Whatever the reasonβ¦ thank you. We love you, we support you π
After a month of listening to books for our March Book Madness, Friday was the day of our finals! Students joined both virtually and in the media center to vote live. Magic Ramen in the lead throughout the month, but the ultimate winner was I Do Not Eat Children @marcuscutler.bsky.social! So fun!

All but one of my read aloud choices for library time with students over the next couple of weeks has a @Novel_Effect soundscape, woot! And more than half have activities, double woot! It would be extra cool if there was an option to create a playlistπ«Άπ» maybe one day? π#picturebooks #skylibrarian
Students celebrated Lunar New Year in the media center this week! ππ They enjoyed read-alouds about the traditions and stories behind the holiday before diving into fun hands-on activities πβ¨ #LunarNewYear #skylibrarian #read #picturebooks
This is a FriYay moment!!
They are both young adult. I am really enjoying the Paul Robeson (had a typo above), it is so relevant for everything happening right now. I canβt believe I have never heard of this amazing man! Dolssa is a little tough-historical fiction set in the 1200s in France. Too early to say!
Haha, that is quite a range of emotions!
Iβm reading The Passion of Dolssa (print book) for a school assignment and listening to Paul Roberson:No One Can Silence Me (adapted for young adults).
Definitely a 2
Yes! I really love that they are stem supplies plus books.
I love these kits and would love to create something similar for my elementary families to be able to check out. Has any elem #skylibrarian done this & can offer advice or resources? #STEM #STEAM #mediaspecialist #schoollibrary #schoollibrarian TIA! www.aurorapubliclibrary.org/STEMKits-13454
