The strategy that most helps me for challenging student behaviors is just to be the 3 C's

- Connections
- Consistent
- Calm

It's not always easy, but when I realize the class is not going as smoothly as I hope, I always just think back to the 3 Cs

The best way to advocate for your program IMO is through face to face interactions.

Whether that is with families, students, staff, etc. the goal is to get them to understand how passionate you are, and how much you care.

Today in #PhysEd we practiced some spelling while throwing a football. 🏈

Students worked with a partner to spell as many words as they could by throwing and catching the football from their cone to the letter they needed. 🔤

I teach in a school with a large population of students who are from Israel 🇮🇱

The other day I had a student politely come up to me at the end of class and ask if I could change our Mindful Minute timer because the noise it made reminded him of bomb warning sirens 🚨 🥺 #PhysEd

Modified VolleyGoal from @IslerPE Students must make a certain number of hits then try and make the ball go through the hoop. Volleyball skills & communication. This group made it to 8!! We start at 3 and progress up. #Physed #Omnikin #Volleyball #Teamwork #D59PE @MrsMetcalf_PE

2nd day back from Winter Break and we got back into our Community Building Unit.

My favorite part was when 2 of the Music Teachers came in to join in on some Cross The River. 👊 #PhysEd #BuildingCommunityThroughMovement

It's that time of the year when kids start bringing in gifts or holiday cards. 🎁

So I don't spend a bunch of money on thank you cards, and to add a personal touch I make my own on cardstock and cut them out. ✂️

Write a quick note on the back and hand it out to the kids. 🥰 #PhysEd #ICIH
