True but sadly it seems many people decide who to vote for regardless of facts as well. The Greens appear to be the main beneficiary of Starmer's falling popularity but Reform are also benefitting. Personally, I prefer to focus my negative energy on Farage and the tories but that's just me!

We should not be surpised - she is also the child of immigrants who wants to stop other immigrants coming to the UK. Maybe her next move will be to object to people of colour, or women perhaps, being elected to parliament?
The world faces economic turmoil caused by Trump.
Climate change threatens the future of the planet.
Putin threatens European security.
The UK has extra problems caused by Brexit
Yet, British media & politics is obsessed about a stupid ambassador appointment 2 years ago…
Needed antibiotics. Filled in an online form at 10.20. Called at 10.28. Appointment at 11. Antibiotics in my hand by 11.30. That’s very impressive. Well done e NHS 👏👏👏

Hey @pippacrerar.bsky.social
Hey @theguardian.com
So do we now know in whose interest this story was broken?
Any comment?
There really is no such thing as race. We all came from Africa. We are all of the same stardust. We are all going to live and die on the same planet, a Pale Blue Dot in the vastness of space. We have to work together.

20 countries have successfully adopted the Euro currency and currently benefit from it.
0 countries have left it and 0 have campaigns to leave it. The currency enjoys majority support in every country that adopted it.
It has proven its success over and over again! #RejoinEU
How to insult every veteran who served in Iraq and Vietnam and every serviceman and woman who died in those wars. Well done Donny. Another great show of patriotism from the world's most famous draft dodger.
More US soldiers may have died of flu in World War One than those who died in combat. They must be turning in their graves when they hear the words of the madman who now runs their army.
The folk in the Kremlin, on the other hand, must be laughing out loud as they clink their vodka glasses.....
Wind and solar alone are currently providing nearly two thirds of electricity generation in Great Britain.

Robbins does at least corroborate PM's claim that no minister was told of the vetting issue with Mandelson. He confirms he did not share it with them.
Indeed. Those intent on attacking Starmer , especially in the media, and insisting on his resignation, seem very reluctant to accept that this effectively deflates their arguments.
I really struggle to see what "legitimate concerns" people can have about immigration. Until just over a hundred years there were no controls on migration. The sky did not fall.
In the meantime, millions of brits emigrated to live in other countries. Such movement is normal in human history.
I love the idea that somewhere out there tonight Tim Cook has to face the humiliating fact that the world will now think of him not primarily as a tech entrepreneur but as a man who kissed the mango Mussolini's ass in return for favours, when his wealth meant that he didn't have to.
"This is an important thing to think about."
Spent Saturday with President Obama and New York's Cutest — turns out my first name is Mayor and I need to be doing more squats.
Here’s to building a City where families can thrive and every classroom is full of this much joy.
The coverage of the Mandelson vetting story by the BBC & the newspapers is starting to become ridiculous. Yes, there’s a story there but more important things are happening in the world, like Iran, Lebanon& Trump.
News editors need accept that most of the public simply don’t share their obsession.
For those who missed it: this was the moment The Strokes ensured they’ll never be invited back to Coachella again! I'm so proud of them
👀🇪🇺 "The Mail may have been expecting its own readers to back Brexit, however early indications of the poll put 73% of respondents as saying Britain should rejoin the EU because it’s better for the economy.
"As time went on, this number grew to 84%."
The Telegraph did a deep dive into Ed Miliband, they got in contact to ask me what I thought of the energy secretary. Me and Ed don’t always agree, that’s natural, but there’s no doubt he’s getting stuff done and the country is better off having him.

Further confirmation that gloom over the labour market was considerably overdone.
Employment numbers also look broadly stable, and real wages still rising (slowly).

In the last couple of weeks good economic data has been quietly announced. In my view it’s because any minute now the Iran war will impact and destroy all the good work achieved by Labour. The media don’t want you knowing all the good stuff
Seems to me like Trump is desperately begging Iran to sign a replica of the Obama JCPOA he tore up. All for the low low price of thousands dead, global instability, high energy prices, and a toll on ships through the once-free strait of Hormuz.
It does feel very Westminster village suddenly and I think this is probably right.
You think that’s bad. Wait until there are no journalists anymore and all our “news” is generated by billionaire-owned AI. Are any governments anywhere thinking about banning AI for such uses?
Starmer made a mistake over Mandelson. He wasn't (perhaps) officially told about the failed vetting but would have been aware of Mandelson's past.
Unlike the Tories whose governments were rotten with lies, deceit and (PPE) scandals that cost lives, this issue is not that, so can we please move on.
Timeline cleanse: I just got on a bus. An elderly woman was trying to pay but her card didn’t work. She was standing flustered by the driver. A boy, maybe 12 or 13 years old, who was queuing to get on said to the bus driver, “sir can I pay for her?” and then went ahead and paid for her
