How is it not poetry?! If you didn't know it was a song and just read the lyrics you should still be floored at the beauty and power of the words. Also, lots of ancient poetry was accompanied by music, so that argument fails as well.

We're not sycophants. I voted for Clinton twice and would fully support charges if there is a case against him.

When I was 11 I found an ad in one of my mum's magazines from one of the manufacturers of sanitary products. I filled it out and mailed it, and they sent me a package 5 maxi pads, 5 panty liners, 5 tampons, and a little booklet about menstruation and how to use the products. My mum had no idea.

"...the feminist establishment that was never challenged before..."?! Oh, right. I totally forgot how feminism is firmly established and has been warmly embraced throughout history.

That kid probably already is someone else's nightmare. Think of the teachers and kids at school.

I don't know why people are always so surprised that politicians are so ignorant of civics. I would put cash money down that a only a handful of elected officials on Capitol Hill could pass the US Citizenship test.

I admit to being that person who brings printed copies of the flag code to patriotic events and hands them out to people who are in violation (or anyone who just wants a copy). If it's something like a tattered flag on a vehicle I will circle the violation and leave it on their windshield...

This is totally in line with this administrations attempts to take us back to the pre-enlightenment ages. No science, no healthcare, no education, etc... Just poor serfs serving the wealthy.

My 1st cat was a stray tom who had been through the wars and adopted us (which is how one usually gets a cat). I was 4 and this scarred up stray was totally cool with me dressing him in doll clothes and pushing him around in a pram. He would cuddle and purr the whole time, just happy to be family.

Yes, yes I did. The National Guard and the US military are not above the law. The Governor of California did not declare this "emergency", both agencies are here illegally, and almost anyone is eligible to sue the military for harm or injury caused by them. Including the violation of civil rights.

How is this even a question? Forget having kids. At the risk of giving the typical reddit response, file for divorce now.

Um, duh? What does that have to do with security guards making a citizen's arrest?

Under these same laws the security guard (and their employer) can face civil and criminal charges for wrongful arrest very easily. Simply witnessing a crime is often not enough to justify the arrest unless there is other evidence to support the guard's determination that a crime has been committed.

Uh huh. Home to the drive-thru Daiquiri Cabana. Don't forget your beer, cigars, and jello shots!

As teenagers my friends, my brother, and I were messing around and moshing in the living room. My brother is 6'7". This is important because he bounced up, hit his head on the ceiling, and left a 6" wide, 3" deep cranial shaped dent in the ceiling! Our reactions were exactly like this video.

Is it really bullying if you are just pointing out the lies and stating a fact?

I am so looking forward to reading this. My husband took the hint to pre-order it for me, but I can't have it until my birthday on Saturday. The tiny tortures of love.

According to the manosphere, anger is only an "emotion" when experienced by women.

We were introduced by mutual friends. It was chemistry at first sight, then lust, and lust became love. It also became friendship. We discovered that we complement each other in ways no one else ever has. Where ever he is, I am home. Together 40 years, married 35 and counting.

I once popped into a restroom at a courthouse while my male client waited for me. I came out with 3 other women, all of us talking and laughing. My client asked how I knew them and was gobsmacked when I said I'd never met any of them before. They are magical places of support and solidarity.

At best that would make him 1/8. Unless he meant that his great-grandmother was 1/2, then he would be 1/16. The real question is why include that information at all. My bet is that he is another one of those family myth "My great-grandmother was a Cherokee princess." people. ๐Ÿ˜’

Ah, Jorts. In these times many of us are tempted to cut our own bangs and it never goes well. Thank goodness you are only peeing in the sink.

Does anyone else find it awkward to 'like' posts that make you angry, frustrated, outraged, and/or filled with sorrow with a little heart? Posts about the current political atrocities, layoffs, funding cuts, are all important content I want to support, but hearts feel so wrong.
