In theory, the provinces run their heathcare because the care needs can be very different in different parts of the country. In reality provinces keep fucking things up.

You're saying the ICE agents that have been in Canada for 20 years, and the additional agents they are sending to the World Cup without any local authority or armaments are Trumps advance ground force to begin his invasion? Cool cool.

I love that this is NOT our war: www.youtube.com/watch?v=1DHr... ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ because just now another shoe dropped: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mlru... right in time for another TACO Tuesday, I guess. #Canada So proud of having a non-deranged man at the helm here.

What would they do? In this scenario in your head, what are ICE agents going to do in Canada? And how will they accomplish this?

G'Dammit!

I mean, they have as much ICE experience as ICE has.

Canada is a sovereign nation with it's own laws and policies and international relationships. ICE can't just pull the shit they do there as directed by your government, here.

Then they'd be deported and never allowed back in Canada again. If it turned out the ICE agent was working under orders, it would likely be considered an act of war and NATO would be forced to support Canada against a militarily hostile US.

I'd be what was being prepared for in Greenland.

We have a different government. If an ICE agent kidnapped someone here, there is nowhere for them to hold or deport the kidnappee. It'd be actual illegal kidnapping, not state sanctioned as it is in the US. They'd be hunted down as the criminal they are and arrested as such.

You do know that most of the world seems to know more about how America is supposed to, and does work better than your average American right? I mean, you're a great example of this.

We know they're dangerous to you. We know they're terrorizing your citizens with the approval of your government.

Main character syndrome is both a cultural trait and shared deillusion in America.

Yes they do. They have legal authority under federal immigration laws. I mean, they're exceeding them and ignoring constitutional rights by ignoring due process. But they do have legal authority to enforce US immigration. Why do I, a Canadian, know more about your system then you do.

1 week ago 0 0 0 0

Why or how would the claim legal authority to enforce US law in Canada? A sovereign country? I mean, unless you're trying to say they're the US's advance ground force for an invasion?

ICE has offices in Canada already, just like we have RCMP offices in the US. It's for accommodating interagency information sharing agreements. ICE had no legal authority here to do anything.

They aren't, and they can't. ICE has no authority here. They have offices here through information sharing agreements. ICE will never be patrolling our streets and terrorizing our citizens. We are a sovereign nation with our own justice system that Trump has no power over.

Has Iran or Pakistan confirmed this? I mean, not that we have reason to disbelieve Trump or anything.

Anyone calling bridges and power plants "dual use" to justify war crimes will also use the same justification for bombing desalination plants. Because the military needs water too yanno.

Space is cool, planet earth is beautiful. I wish, as a species, we spent more time and money preserving what we have, and exploring that which we do not know.

Imagine the cool shit we could do if we stopped blowing each other up.

Yup.

Enough of the files have been released to end him, and they haven't. They've spun it so MAGA thinks he was spying on Epstein for the FBI. No amount of proof or validation that Trump is a shiy human will change his cult followers.

Fuck off with this. Yes, Alberta's government is fucking Albertans hard. Its without lube and the ribbing isn't for our pleasure. Thanks.

Taking away shitty talking points from the AB right about the boogie man that is "Ottawa" is the first step to dealing with that.

Christ, you're really trying hard to argue eh?
Harper did shit all for AB know he had all our votes and ignored us wholly after.
Trudeau did authorize purchase of the the TransMountain pipeline. Alberta also had some of the highest COVID relief. But that was all in spite of AB poli, not with it.

I was highlighting Alberta because Carney has to be the first PM to actually give a shit about us out here. It wasn't a dig.

Trade agreements with China and India, two of the largest markets on the planet. MOUs with fucking Alberta, of all places, to build infrastructure. New arctic port. New military spending. Tax cuts on the bottom brackets, carbon tax axed, reskilling for tarrif impacted employees.

Those actions?
