Virginia political operative Christian Heiens, in response to whether he would support a national gerrymandering ban given the results of last night's redistricting referendum:

No. I support gerrymandering when my side does it, and I oppose it when Democrats do it because Democrats are my enemy and I want them to lose everywhere.

The Democratic Party masquerades as a legitimate political party while functioning as an illegitimate tool for foreigners, criminals, and their managerial handlers to sack and pillage this country at the expense of the American people.

The appropriate number of Democratic seats at all levels of government is zero. The party itself should be banned, and at least half of its elected officials should be in prison.

You don't even have to paraphrase, this same guy says it out loud himself as bluntly as possible. Read and reread the first paragraph, this is not satire.

she was def too young at 3 to think that logically about the plot (and too that point i tried to limit her solely to the first movie as long as I could)

but the trade-off being that she thought the movie is real and that we were actually flying the millennium falcon to another planet, very precious

she could recite the entire intro to ANH, we weren't sure if she memorized or self-taught to read (both)

then we went to Disney that fall and she refused to go on any "big kid" rides but absolutely insisted on riding the millennium falcon, she asked me "what planet are we on now?" as we walked out

yoda stands in front of a group of soldiers with the words truly wonderful the mind of a child is Alt: yoda stands in front of a group of child soldiers in star wars episode 2 and says "truly wonderful, the mind of a child is"

my now-five year old went on a hard-core star wars phase at age three (it was probably too early but oh well). she recognized Darth Vader, but didn't realize he was an ominous villain from the various gizmos and toys... man I wish I filmed her reaction the first time he walked through that door.

New York lawmakers want to keep AI out of news State Sen. Pat Fahy and Assembly Member Nily Rozic’s NY FAIR News Act would require disclosures on AI journalism, among other protections.

“The NY FAIR News Act will uphold journalists’ credibility, safeguard the integrity of news reporting and strengthen public trust. These common-sense guardrails are essential for a healthy democracy.” -President Mario Cilento

“Perhaps one of the industries at most risk from the use of artificial intelligence is journalism and as a result, the public's trust and confidence in accurate news reporting. More than 76% of Americans are concerned about AI stealing or reproducing journalism and local news stories, as AI continues to reshape our daily lives and careers across industries. To protect the public's trust in reporting and the news they read everyday and the journalists who do the work, I'm proud to introduce the NY FAIR News Act with Assemblymember Rozic, and I look forward to working with my colleagues in the State Senate to enact common sense guidelines that protect New Yorkers from the unintended consequences of AI."

“Artificial Intelligence presents a clear and demonstrable threat to the integrity of the news. The NY FAIR News Act recognizes that AI may be used in newsrooms, but rather than let this nascent technology run wild, especially in a critical election year, the bill mandates cooperation between news media companies and the highly skilled human workers they employee to uphold journalistic standards and workplace protections."

Somehow these movies I've never seen keep making $$$$ and are very popular to the point of having an entire "land" in a Disney World park even though I'm not sure if I know anyone whose seen any of them beyond when the first one was popular for the 3D.

On top of that, I think forums' real strength was having a niche focus (ex. a sports forum, a Nintendo forum, an adult swim forum) to connect over a shared interest - but also had general discussion spaces to bond further.

Subreddits don't allow off-topic, and mass social media is just too large.

our site (unevenedge.com) uses IPB software - works fine for the need but not sure what the hierarchy of forum resources are these days
