*-he keeps messing up and yet doesn't apologize because too proud.

"if my intentions aren't bad, why should I apologize? What's the point to apologize if they don't trust me to begin with?"

*-If I could guess, it's his 'unattainable goal' to feel integrated and trusted by everyone in there, starting by ragatha, that apparently hates him even-*

*-.. While the very opposite might've been true. He did clarify he doesn't actually care, but didn't and couldn't find a reasonable and convincing enough reason on why he didn't fight back, yet. - *

*-Out of frustration she attacks him. To see if he fights back and therefore proving to herself and him, he cares instead.
Jax picks on that hint and doesn't fight back. And dramatically clarifies he didn't fight back yes, but not because he cares about anyone in the circus-*

*-Yet the plan failed, because pomni cares about jax now.."I don't really wanna hurt my friends" and yet he doesn't care if she shoots him?Suddenly? Doesn't care if he can't or can trust her? Does he cares overall?-*

*-He singles pomni at the end of the adventure as a way for her to shoot him and prove ragatha wrong. Not because she wasn't partially right, but as a way for him to yet again look trustworthy to everyone in the circus beside pomni.-*

*-Returning on jax's pov, that must've felt like a very personal attack. Not only that but jax got shot back from ragatha. No matter for him if self-defense, this only emphasized how much ragatha doesn't trust him at all. Contrary to the small hope he saw initially from her-*

*-In fact, she was right jax was trying to influence pomni into being like him instead of accepting pomni as she comes
However ragatha used the wrong term to describe the situation in the heat of the moment as "corruption"-*

*-Which also doesn't mean Ragatha is giving up on them for not doing the heavy lifting for both every time.-*

*-Kinger in fact tells her relationships are TWO sided, whether she tries to give pomni and jax space to befriend or not, doesn't mean jax and pomni will not notice the issues in their own friendship eventually.-*

*-She wants pomni to be free to befriend anyone but not yet getting influenced by jax
Ragatha, hating herself, blames it all on her too.
If she didn't fail jax, he'd not try to "corrupt" pomni as a result.
-*

*-However she still notices and recalls from episode 5, a sudden shift of behavior in pomni that still doesn't seem much healthy in a complex place like the circus . Especially because an influence from.. Jax.-*

*-She saw him closer to pomni as well and assumes a better fit for him is in fact her now instead of kinger. Hurts her deeply, but she'd rather not "ruin" the friendship.-*

*-Because Ragatha apologized and therefore there's still a small chance, for him, of their trust rebuilding up.

Yet.. Ragatha, still of course, cannot just trust him after all the previous events in which she even apologized but didn't get an apology back from jax.-*

*-That won't help on building trust from ragatha's point of view however, so he opts to team up with gangle since they did in episode 2 already. Why not pomni?

finally, episode 6

Coincidentally (or not?) There's a trust-building adventure.
Knowing the rules, jax starts off by testing if ragatha trusts him enough with a gun pointed at her. In fact she doesn't even flinch.-*

*-To test the waters, plus asking her if she'd even apologize to him after her accidentally and seemingly implying their friendship was over.And she does apologize

*-Even then,a part of him still want to check if ragatha actually and genuinely hates him.Bringing up the spudsy's adventure in the bar scene as well.-*

.. Leading to episode 5 where jax is visibly disappointed by her, more distant from her and very less convinced of ragatha's kind and friendly side anymore. To the point he feels like venting/convincing pomni of that. By also creating a bond built on trust with her, instead.-*

*-Especially from ragatha's perspective. After all, Jax joined right after her and seeing her suddenly not minding nor valuing him after years of a *probable* teaming up, he tries befriending pomni further

and (from jax's pov) what's worse is that now ragatha, beside scolding him, apparently hates him. As much as ragatha got her own reasons for that, Jax immediately sees it as a personal failure. Not looking trustworthy enough anymore by anyone in the circus.-*

*-He sees this as a better occasion to gets on ragatha's nerves further by befriending pomni.
After all, pomni isn't that much of a "scaredy cat" anymore

In episode 4, however, Jax gives up his efforts to look like a GOOD leader, a guy you can trust after, accidentally (or not really?) hitting gangle and ragatha returning on obviously scolding him.-*

..so, as far I can tell, he tries to toughen pomni up for two episodes (2-3) , for probably two reasons: for him to befriend pomni better AND for ragatha to not see pomni as brave as rag makes pomni out to be. Since jax still likes lead in the circus

*-Ragatha kept making pomni feel like she was at home and even if fair of her, Jax felt like that was too rushed of an approach..for his tastes

Want to share a quick (?) tadc analysis from episode 2 to 6, about jax/ragatha and partly pomni too. I already shared it all elsewhere because I'm like that eheh
