I predict that in the not so distant future the incoming administration will strike a deal to bring TT back, making them appear as heroes in the eyes of the scrolling addicted masses. Feed them bread and give them TikTok. It's conspiracy bs on my part, so here's a pic of my guard cat

TikTok quietly shut down early as I was scraping the last of my favorite accounts. I do like to data horde and this is just another excuse for me to add to the heap.

I've taken thousands of photos, had a few published, but I've never had anything shown in an art space. This cropped image will be at an exhibit in the near future. Another one for the personal bucket list

The movie released on Nov 1, 1974 and I'll stream it on Prime this weekend and chant BEEF BEEF BEEF for a belated anniversary

She was completely obsessed with the film and decided her little brother needed to share in her passion. Eventually, I did.

I still remember our final count before it left theaters, 13 viewings. It left a lasting mark on me at a young age and to this day, I can easily recite many of the lines

Has it really been 50 years? Back in the late ’70s, it was all about the competition, seeing Star Wars as many times as possible and earning bragging rights: “It’s my 10th, 20th, 30th viewing!” But for me, this began a few years earlier when my sister introduced me to Phantom of the Paradise.

Swan: What do I have to do?

The Devil: [holding a contract] It’s all here. Read it carefully, and then sign at the bottom in blood.

Swan: Blood? My blood?

The Devil: Messy, I know. But it’s the only way I can bind you. Tradition. What do you have to lose?

“you can run but you can't hide.” This means you can try to escape what you fear most but ultimately you must face it. This saying originated in the United States in the 1940s and is attributed to boxing great Joe Louis describing his impending fight with light heavy weight champion Billy Conn

Adventures in oversized imaging: digitizing the Ōmi Kuni-ezu 近江國絵圖 Japanese Tax Map from 1837 By Deardra Fuzzell and Wayne Vanderkuil A historic manuscript map and a gem of the Stanford Library Map Collection, the Ōmi Kuni-ezu 近江國絵圖 Japanese Tax Map from 1837 is hand drawn and painted in the round. This map is designed to be displayed on the floor with the viewer standing in its center. From this central vantage point, the map may be read with ease from any direction. As this display and viewing method is no longer possible for a map fast approaching its 200th birthday, Stanford has recently digitized this item to enable access for research, teaching and learning as well as preservation of the original object. This the largest and most difficult oversized map Stanford has digitized thus far. See how the Map Program went about imaging this unique item.

I viewed the original beast again about a week ago and thought, "What I'd do now if I could do it over again". Ah well. Way back Monday?

My mother's love of cats heavily influenced me growing up. This evening I'm celebrating my mom by hanging out with this dude and telling him stories of the mighty feline beasts that were part of growing up in our household. He seemed unimpressed
