That was the final straw. I've made no attempt to contact either parent (they are still together) since then. Their opinion was "It's our money & we can do what we like with it." Which is very true. I see it as a repeat of the "we don't want to see you again" theme. So that's what I'm doing. /2

So even at 1000 volts, to reach 1MW requires a current of 1000 amps. That's going to need one hell of a cable. Or have I misunderstood it?

You also have to deliver 1MW from generation sources all the way to the charger. The power doesn't appear magically at the charger. I suspect that's going to be challenging. (In fact more than 1MW, in order to cover the inevitable losses and inefficiencies).
