Paul Robeson died on this day in 1976. A musician, sportsman, and civil rights activist, he recorded Message of Peace for the Daily Worker (now the Morning Star) in London in 1950, released on Topic Records. 5 months later, the US government cancelled his passport due to his political activity.
I see a lot of vbnmw liberals on here sneering at marginalized groups whose voting rates they deem insufficient and taunting them with the coming horrors, and i think that's pretty god damn fucked up, and you should fuckin quit it
Who is fighting back against this? Why the silence from the side that says they have our backs (lol)? When will the media acknowledge that silence is consent? Why should anybody vote for a party that is all talk and absolutely no action? And just wait for their eventual silence on ICE sweeps.
We are onto day 2 of the NIH shutdown with the media ignoring the real impacts this will have, along with an absolutely not so surprising stance by Democratic leadership to stay completely silent on the matter.
