CMPD officers fill the street marching in Joshua Eyer’s funeral procession at Charlotte's First Baptist Church. Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department holds a memorial at Charlotte’s First Baptist Church for Joshua Eyer, who was killed in the line of duty. Four law enforcement officers, including Eyer, were killed and more wounded attempting to serve a warrant Monday morning in east Charlotte. The suspect was identified as 39-year-old Terry Clark Hughes Jr., who was wanted for possession of a firearm by an ex-felon and fleeing to elude in Lincoln County, NC.
