The thoroughness of answers regardless of industry. Thank you! That is great food for thought!
I don't know that I can find many beautiful veneered ply (small town), but I'll definitely go that route. Makes sense!
Maybe I just have to figured out how to veneer it myself after all..

How's furniture making going btw? I was looking forward to seeing more of those posts, but I totally understand you leaving social media in the back burner :)
Nothing fancy. Just curious what your preferred approach would be for long floating shelves? Mitered ply or hardwood? Intuitively I feel like ply would be cheaper but also not be as pretty. The furniture pieces you shared were gorgeous so I figured you'd know how to approach it for beauty. ๐ฌ

That idea was a little distressing, ngl...
Lol.. I've been working out a new woodworking project and had a thought... I wonder if we can still bug @ecabrams.bsky.social with questions, but now related to all things wood and furniture instead.
Or were our incessant questions the reason he decided to pivot to begin with? ๐ค
I've been learning the Piano and when following the Blurred Lines prompt from the new @cgcookie.bsky.social Type Sessions this animation came to mind.
The measure that reveals is the actual measure we hear repeating for most of what I was playing/practicing.

I can totally understand that.
Anyways, just know what we appreciated your craft before too. You have taught so much to so many of us.
Looking forward to seeing the pieces you are working on! Love woodworking too, though my projects don't look nearly as polished as yours ๐
Ps. I'm a guaranteed subscriber when you decide to bring your woodworking skills to YouTube. ๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ
A career Irish Good-bye is about the best description lol.
I thought carpentry was just a hobby you were really into. Now it makes sense the disappearance from the mograph scene.
Your work looks stunning btw! So I know it'll be a success ๐ All the best and thank you for the teachings.
Incredible work @ecabrams.bsky.social !
This looks great!
The most important skill I developed as a digital artist is how to build my projects in a way that I can (nearly) painlessly update EVERYTHING about it, and fast.
A major design shift across the board for the 3rd time in 6 weeks you say? Give me 20 minutes.
Looks incredible!
Lol.. it's both maddening and reassuring at the same time.
Whenever you feel threatened by technology just remember that my vacuum can't find its way out of the bathroom. Not once. Not ever. We'll be fine.
Wait! When did we get the ability to save posts here?
I've been away too long, haven't notice it.
Yay!
Custom pinning only needed for organization now.

Fellow creatives... how do you juggle the internal struggle of "don't do free work because that's a rabbit hole path" , but at the same time "these are friends that really could use some help and I really want to see them succeed" ?
Alrighty... crazy busy weeks of hell at work are over. Back to our usual programming. Starting off with rest, because you know, burnout is a real thing.
Hey Ryan, thanks for sharing! And thank you for making Keys & Curves real. Like real stuff that happens to us and our industry. The situation sucks, honestly the whole world situation sucks rn. But to answer your questions: yes, a lot of us are spooked and asking what will happen. I'll tag along...
I also totally meant *Busiest
One of them days...
