I’m going to have to stay off the internet for a couple days. Mental health is diving and the news today can’t help. Visiting a couple food banks today. And trying to stay breathing and calm. What are we going to do? What are we going to do. People are going to die.
It really will be okay. One day. Maybe not tomorrow. Maybe not this summer. Maybe not next year or the one after that.
But it WILL be okay. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end. 🫶

I grew up in poverty and I need people to understand it was free breakfast and lunch that ensured I had access to nutritious food, food in general. Summers were harder. But I loved school time because it was consistent. Even families not living in poverty DESERVE access to food. This isn’t a debate.
I as an American, reading this list, nodding in agreement because…it’s true 🤷♀️ I don’t want to eat our food either. And it’s common knowledge America makes the worst cars that don’t last. That’s the American way. speak on it 👏

This is important, as any lawyer has duties both to client and to the court. The system breaks down otherwise.

“What did they expect?” is kind of a misleading question.
The people who supported them didn’t expect something very specific. They expected to own the libs. They expected people they resented to suffer. The expected the world to burn. It wasn’t about specifics.
Idc how big or small the crowds showed out today - WE SHOWED OUT. I live in a conservative pocket in my state and while my town isn’t going to have the numbers others did; the fact we DID have many show up tells me people AREA WAKING UP and coming together ✊🫶 no effort is small. We rise together.
