Look, I’ll criticize Dems as much as anyone, but literally the first bill introduced by the Dem House in 2021 (HR1) was an omnibus voting rights bill. It failed because of some Dem senators, which is an indictment of the party to an extent, but it’s also untrue Dems did nothing to address the issue.

Know the work rules meme, but it's about Louise Lucas and David Scott being over 80 and still in office after decades
(To be clear, I am a gerontocracy hater and not criticizing that perspective, I just think it would be really funny)

Some of these replies/QTs... do people think Mills would support an "assault weapons ban?" She wouldn't even support the red flag law.

Thank you McDonalds for hiring those facing federal job losses. Every family deserves to earn a living and that’s why we raised our minimum wage in Virginia to $15 an hour.

I'm so glad that Jen Kiggans, specifically, is having a terrible day.

I have no love for the Labour government, but tbf, this was initially Sunak's idea, and it initially passed in a Tory-controlled House of Commons before Parliament was dissolved for the 2024 GE. Which is to say that it's a cross-partisan UK problem, lol

The ban is only on purchasing/selling. (Which, of course, raises the question of why people born in 2009 wouldn't just ask people born in 2008 to buy them cigarettes... I'm not saying it's good legislation, just, it's not trying to bar possession itself.)

Honestly, I have no time for prefatory throat clearing about how of course gerrymandering is bad. All of the residual goo goo in me has been completely eroded over the past year. I feel no compunctions about what we must do to save the Republic from itself.

This is the crux for me. It’s not about whether Starmer knew about the failed vetting; it’s that Starmer created a situation where the appointment didn’t allow for failed vetting

It pissed me off how many *liberals and progressives* I saw being like “well, she’s the best we were going to get! She supported the PRO Act!” She was always going to be a nightmare.

The currently escalating tech backlash must be put in the context of:

“people have been listening to the most insufferable techbros in the world gleefully threaten everyone else with mass unemployment for over 6 years, and they’re sick of their shit”

Chavez-DeRemer was supposed to be the pro-worker face of the Trump administration, according to many post-liberal thought leaders.

She was, by all accounts, an abject failure.

the president of the united states is personally looting the treasury to the tune of literally billions of dollars and that he is not being immediately removed from office and tried for high crimes against this country is a devastating indictment of every part of our political system

Hegseth saying “The Pharisee Press” should be a fully mask off moment. He is saying “The Jewish Press”. But Christians of all political stripes are so devoted to using Pharisees as a rhetorical prop that liberal Christians regularly insist it’s totally fine, no matter how many Jews try to explain.

I mean, the question isn't whether or not he can name any disease, it's whether he can ID a disease that deserves less research funding--ofc there's nothing that fits that criteria, so he has to deflect with this stupid BS.

No argument that he is anything but manifestly unqualified, to be clear.
