Trying to create a brush that allow to quickly clouds or explosions, the one I use currently is kinda too blurry/puffy and imprecise to my taste.

Yeah true, I have several examples of backgrounds posted now so it better shows the range of abilities.

I worked on getting better at backgrounds the last year, so I'm happy my efforts are appreciated in this way. My buildings still need work tho, they look sterile and I have not identified why. Maybe too many perfectly straight lines, etc.

Wow everybody wants detailed backgrounds now. Before it was maybe one in five commissions.

The tattoos are mostly random rectangular shapes and I wanted the face tattoos to appear skull-like.

Noo don't use me as anatomy reference im bad 🫣. I often use other artists as reference to see how they simplify muscles. You're seeing an interpretation of an interpretation.

I think my art is not so steamy lately to be worth such treatment haha

What was your first drawing tablet?

Although not exactly my "first" tablet (I barely used a Bamboo Splash for two months before selling it), I used this Bamboo Create from 2012 to 2018.

He's just without the large beard. He was always kinda heavyset.

I actually drew him mostly as an office worker before haha. It was a recent decision to slap an eye patch and make a mercenary chief out of him.

I use mostly multiply and divide layer blending modes because it allows me to understand what is happening mathematically with the rgb values. Other blending mode are hard for me to control since they are piecewise functions and I resort to trial and error to see what looks good if I use them.
